CR7 play for juventus and Portugal both teams are not known for flair tho ororo is a special player

I wonder how creating chances mean flair. It is hard for CR7 to play a game with Juventus and not have four to five chances. Very hard. In Portugal, he does get chances too.

Finito.

I've seen tabarez Uruguay play several time, his tactics is stay compact and hit on the counter

If they play that way, you will see Suarez will not be as explosive as he was under Liverpool and Barcelona especially under Enrique. It just does not happen. The offence must suffer.

This China team cannot defeat South Korea ok.
On what assumptions is this your statement base!

The result speaks for itself

If China defeated South Africa, they will trash S. Korea

Surprising to see Brazil loose to the Aussies.

However, the Aussies did play well against Italy despite the loss.

Now over to you Super Falcons, a draw against should be enough but please play with the mentality of winners.

Best of luck

There was so much pressure on our defense against Korea. It's understandable why they were later committing those errors. Against France, they should limit those pressure by playing them at the midfield. France expects that we would play defensive and if we take the bait, they would punish as they are more clinical than the Koreans.
The coach need devise a strategy of playing most of the game in the midfield. When the chances open up and we are lucky, we might hold a surprise victory.

Exactly brother. You got it

I hinted at this in an earlier post that sitting back to defend would surely backfire and we need to learn to hold the ball in the midfield and look for counter-attacking opportunities. The french team is beatable but I wonder if we can learn to be more possessive of the ball when we are already at the WC. I wish the girls the very best

Five Things To Expect From Super Eagles Friendly Against Senegal

he Super Eagles will play a friendly match against the Teranga Lions of Senegal on Sunday as part of their preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The encounter is expected to be an entertaining one based on the rivalry existing between both countries and the quality of players in both teams.

What should Nigerians expect during and after the game? Here are top five things to look out for.

1. Plenty Goals

The encounter is expected to witness many goals from both sides based on current form. Each of the strikers in Rohr's final squad scored an impressive number of goals for their respective clubs, while, Senegal strikers also did the same throughout the season.

Judging by the strikers' deadly form, the two goalies are expected to find the ball in their net on many occasions.

2. High Physical Game

Historically, all matches between two West African countries are always accompanied by hard tackles, and show of strength and agility.

Though both sides will be very cautious with their tackles on Saturday, the encounter is set to be a very physical one.

3. Great Attacking Moves From Both Sides

Senegal and Nigeria are known for their attacking style of play, hence, the supporters will be treated to an highly entertaining game.

Sadio Mane's high converting rate and Ismaila Sarr's pace will be massively put to test by coach Aliou Cisse while Gernot Rohr will want to see more from Samuel Chukwueze and Paul Onuachu.

4. Strong Starting Lineup

This is the last preparatory match for the Super Eagles before their AFCON opener against Burundi, therefore, Rohr is expected to name a strong team.

Ekong and Musa, who started from the bench against Zimbabwe last weekend, are expected to be in the starting lineup.

5. Less Substitutions From Gernot Rohr

This game is organized to help Rohr access the fitness level of his players, and to help boost the chemistry between his players ahead of Burundi's challenge.

We should expect less substitutions from the gaffer who will want to see if some players can complete a game.

Moses Is A Very High Quality Player' - Fenerbahce Aim To Keep Chelsea Winger Next

Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce are aiming to keep former Nigeria international Victor Moses at the club next season amid speculation linking him with a summer move to Inter Milan.

The winger joined the Yellow Canaries on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal in the January transfer window and it is thought that Chelsea can exercise a recall option on the player to end his loan spell before expiration.

It is claimed that Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal has held talks with Director of Football, Damien Comolli and a decision was made to retain Moses.

''Moses is a very high quality player. I believe he will be much more useful next season. What should be done to stay must be done,'' said Yanal, according to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.

It was widely believed that Moses's career at Chelsea was over following the arrival of Maurizio Sarri in July 2018 but his situation could change, with the Italian linked with a return to his homeland as coach of Juventus and The Blues slapped with a two-window transfer ban for signing underage players.

Last season, the Nigerian scored 4 goals in 16 appearances for Fenerbahce.

'Nigeria Will Probably Give Us A Hard Time' - France Coach Ahead Of Last Group Game

France coach Corinne Diacre expects a difficult game when they face Nigeria in their final Group A match at the Roazhon Park, Rennes on Monday, June 17.

The hosts maintained their one hundred percent record at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup this evening, beating Norway 2-1 thanks to Eugenie Le Sommer's game-winner from the spot 18 minutes from time.

Nigeria brightened their chances of making it to the knockout rounds following their 2-0 win against South Korea in
Grenoble.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Diacre said : ''As far as Nigeria team is concerned, I'm just looking at one match after another so I haven't thought yet about anything concrete on Nigeria.

''I am going to relax, think about it tomorrow, then we will reflect on things - what we can do, who may stay on the bench because we did have some injuries and let them recover.

''We are going to have to think about this long and hard''.

She added : ''Norway gave us a hard time, Nigeria will probably do the same. For the time being, now we are just going to stay put and fight hard to win that match against Nigeria''.

The Super Falcons need at least a draw against Les Bleues to be certain of progressing to the last sixteen.

@TheGoodJoe.
Please is it true that Bredan Rogers is planning to bring in Daniel Sturridge to Liecester City on a free transfer for the coming season? If true, then Iheanacho really have a lot to learn under Rogers. To me, Rogers say one thing in public & does exactly the opposite in private. I bet he does not have the patience to tolerate Iheanacho's lack of confidence in front of goal. He also will not continue to watch a professional footballer lacking basics such as ball control & dribbling out of small spaces. The new season will show us how right or wrong you are about Rogers. I remember how you use to stoutly defend Pep when Iheanacho was in Man City. Saying he was learning from him. But time really justified the true state of things then.

The bolded actually defines Brendan Rodgers very well... I can give u a list of players he signed at Liverpool either on loan or permanently and a few talented academy players that he couldn't manage at the club..He either let them leave or left them to rot on the bench...

He is singing Iheanacho praise now.. when the season starts we will know what's up...

Personally, when a player is performing I praise him and call for his continuous invite, when he is not and somebody else is deserving, I switch sides. They are several payers I have rooted for in the past that I’ve not mentioned their name in a while. The problem is some will praise a player no matter what. How different are they from other monikers who have favorite players and will call for their continuous invite even when their career is downhill whether based on tribe or not? Sentiments na sentiment. Iheanacho is not performing for club or country. Wetin again? At some point Prior to the World Cup he had great stats for SE. I supported him wholeheartedly then. The SE is for Nigerians, and there are many Nigerians our ther homegrown or foreign grown. SE no be any player birthright.

Maybe we should fire Rohr and employ the SE coach Nacho was banging goals under.

TheGoodJoe:
“But the way Liverpool played, with the ball on the floor, and being released very fast to my feet, gave me a chance against the big guys." Suarez on how he likes his passing served.

This is why I am against Rohr’s system because it does not suit the way to get the best from Nacho.

You are not getting my point. Look at Balogun. The one game convinced people that his lack of game time did not diminish his quality.

It is not about Rohr’s decision. That was already made. I am talking of preventing a public critic of him making the wrong decision. As it stands, no major cryout. If Nacho had pulled a stunner and Rohr still dropped him, there would have been some noises.

That I think was why Rohr avoided playing Nacho in the friendly.

This is not about dropping Nacho or not. Rohr already made his decision.
Balogun and Iheanacho had two completely different situations

Aside the fact that Balogun is tested and trusted in the GWG, he has also been consistent

Even with the sparse games he got in Brighton, he never disappointed. He played just 8 games and it is common knowledge that his quality was not in doubt in any of those 8. He got rave reviews every time he played. Favoritism stopped him from playing more, not quality

Kelechi, on the other hand, has been a disappointment all season and we cannot repay a woeful performance with an AFCON spot. You see that chance you are saying Rohr should have given him, he could have gotten it himself. If Owerri witches were not working overtime to kill his destiny, he should have scored that goal against City, the goal that could have helped Liverpool to the title. That was the opening he had to get the opportunity, that would have been enough to give him a 70% chance at AFCON, but when he missed it, he missed the AFCON

Rohr likes Kelechi, so accusing Rohr of not giving him a chance or whatever is petty and disappointing.

You've been going on and on about this thing and all of your arguments leave me feeling more and more disappointed. You're starting to sound desperate and ridiculous.

Kelechi is out, nobody can wail him back into the squad, he is the architect of his own misfortune. Even if Onuachu and Osimhen go to AFCON and mess up, they will still be better choices than Kelechi, because I'm not seeing what Kelechi would have done.

He isn't special. He's ordinary, and he is now becoming abysmal. I hope he finds his mojo at some point, but I'm not counting on it. He doesn't have the drive.

Let us face the AFCON and face the players in it. You and Icon79 and others that keep assuming Kelechi is still 16-years old and playing U17, need to allow us move on.
