If you're the lakers, would you take Melo in a bench role?
Melo is toxic. Why complicate your team?

Fate was like take Klay and Looney out. We won game 2. Take Looney back we lost games 3 &4 (dodgy officiating et al). Fate relaxes like Raptors got this. Then KD and Klay come back..we are leading healthy..fate takes KD..we still win. Game 6 we are winning healthy and are sure to win. Fate takes Klay out. At this rate, if we had won game 6. Steph would have lost his ankles and then Draymond would have been suspended.

We submit to fate and trust that the future will reward us.
The Warriors' pass has turned you to a philosopher. grin

Ingram is unhealthy, lonzo cant shoot, zion is overrated.

As for the warriors, the lakers winning next season is inevitable. I know they will claim its only cause kd and klay were injured. They will regroup and once again the king shall lead his army into battle against the weaklings where he will inevitably destroy them enroute to another championship, officially putting an end to their dynasty of tyranny. It has long been foretold.
Dynasty of tyranny! grin

The dilemma for the lakers. Kemba or Butler? Thats a tough one, Kemba is a better shooter which the lakers will obviously need but butler is an amazing defender, has loads of heart and is an all round dog. I guess it depends on who they sign to fill out the rest of the team. Finding the right fit is very important, more than just throwing in a bunch of stars together. I'd really like to see Javale, KCP and maybe bullock and rondo back. Everyone else can go. Get as many shooters as possible to replace them.

What an amazing position to be in.
So what changed? From the media saying nobody wanted to play with Bron to Lakers now awash with willing stars.

The crumbling dynasty changed everything, I think.

The people talking about injuries as no excuses are the same people who said it over and over again before this season.

Lakers will not win any ring. Rockets won 65 games in the regular season and folded when it mattered.

You people should not build castles in the sky. Lebron is 35 and AD is injury prone.

But it's fair enough to me for others to get their pound of flesh now considering what Warriors fans told them when they gave injury excuses for their teams.

The last two seasons before last season where he intentionally sat out to force a trade, hes played 75 games each. On average hes been healthier than Kyrie so go and find another narrative you hating arse bitch arse nigga. I wonder which bandwagon you will hop on next, just so i can derive extra joy from seeing lebron dismantle them you franchise w.hore.
You can impale your rectum on rusted nails for all I care, I've said my piece. I don't want any excuses from you Sodomites when patterns start to reoccur

Don't worry about me and worry about the excuses you would need to conjure when LeNomad fails with this team that's expected to dominate in his laughable attempt to catch the GOAT on rings with his endless Avengers squad forming

After all the numerous Prophets of Baal made more noise than this in 2010 when the Heatles formed and they barely squeaked two rings with prime Wade, Bosh and other talented pieces. So STFU heaux

False narrative. People underestimate how powerful the media is. Lets breakdown the stars that have been linked directly or indirectly with lebron.

Wade, we know how he felt, took a pay cut to play with lebron and never wanted him to leave.

Bosh, also never wanted him to leave even after sacrificing the most of the big 3. Recently claimed his biggest "what if" is what if lebron stayed in 2014, he reckoned they would've won again.

Kyrie, well he wanted to be a man of his own. Holds true in his case but everyone knows kyrie is a weirdo.

Kevin Love, stated multiple times that he wanted to finish his career with lebron.

Paul George wanted to sign with cleveland, was willing to commit to two years with lebron if lebron was also willing to opt into his player option, lebron didnt.

AD had literally been trying to do everything he could to get to the lakers.

Then we look at this free agency class, i feel for most of these players its more about them than about lebron.

KD in his delusional mind thinks hes competing with lebron, hopes to surpass him one day. LOL Never going to happen but nonetheless thats how he feels. Why go be in lebrons shadow?

Klay is probably a life long warrior.

Can you imagine what people would say if kyrie tucked his tail between his legs and ran back to lebron?

Kawhi is at an elite level where he should be a man of his own, plus he just won a title on his team.

Jimmy butler has always been willing to play with lebron and has hinted at that multiple times.

That being said, yes certain players will avoid playing with lebron cause they dont want to be second fiddle or because they cant handle the pressure. But this whole idea that hes this pariah is nothing but the machinations of a rapacious media.

Rondo has one of the highest basketball IQs in recent times. A backup PG doesnt have to be a knockdown shooter if the second unit has enough shooters around him. Plus playoff rondo is a beast. As for caruso, its one thing for a g league player to play well in useless games and its another playing for a serious championship contender. I'd take terry rozier or collison before alex caruso, easily. Bullock was thrown in the midst of chaos, hard for him to thrive in a situation like that. I'm willing to give him and rondo the benefit of the doubt.

I'm looking at this free agency class and people arent mentioning vucevic among the stars, he is but will be a horrible fit with the lakers. Apart from rondo, javale bullock and KCP I look at the other role players to fill out the bench knowing the lakers might be a little cash strapped after getting a third star star and i see, b bogdanovic (admittedly unlikely), brook lopez, deandre jordan, mirotic, marcus/markieff morris, jeremy lamb, terrence ross, wesley matthews and i like jeff green. Theres enough to build a solid team out there if they play their cards right, they can use potential rings as leverage to get some to lower their salary demands. Good times ahead.
The biggest steal will be if they can get Malcolm brogdon and Brook Lopez away from Milwaukee. These two will mesh perfectly with lebron and AD.

I wonder why y'all keep mentioning Brook Lopez. Pls, that guy is as inconsistent as can be. I'm glad we let him go in the first place. He can't rebound and can't defend, and since he won't even be a second or third scoring option, I don't see his need in my team.

Improved. Well, if you say in three point shooting, yes, but all round game, not so much. He might have been useful if we hadn't acquired AD, but now that we have AD, Lopez is a no no.

His defense around the rim has been better, sometime next season the Lakers will need a rim protector who can shoot three's other than AD.

Last season, with Lonzo and Bron still in the team, we were 3rd, 8th and 9th respectively in defensive rating in the first 3 months, thanks in no small part to Javale. I think AD and Javale will do just fine.

It's amazing how folks can say Giannis is better than this guy. I barely see him on any top 5 list. They seem to have forgotten how good he is just because he failed to make the playoffs. We're in a league where players are judged by their ability to take their team to the playoffs. But pound for pound, KD is as good as anybody in this league. Easily in my top 5.
You meant AD?

I think Brook can do what Mike muscala was brought to do a lot better than Mike muscala.
