Hi, I've been a silent observer for a long time now and I've learnt a lot about Express entry from this thread and other mediums that I'm considering opening a consulting firm. But there's something I don't know/understand. People who have been denied Visa before, does the denial affect their application? Does it make the application take a longer time to process or it has little or no consequence? I've read through the entire thread and found nothing on this and I'd be grateful if I can get any information on it.

Thank you

Certification 1st. All the best.

Thanks a lot Suspectzero..

Just went through the link you sent and actually got close to the 478 you calculated. This is a great confidence booster.

Only thing is to start taking a step at a time. would you advise i start the certificate evaluation first or do the IELTS first?

If you did read through the entire thread, you’d have found your answer. Sometimes, using the search button with keywords helps too.

No, denied visas does not affect EE application as long as they are truthfully declared.

Guys, please need some advise on behalf of my brother. His application was previously approved and then cancelled so he could include his spouse.

On may 27th, He submitted forms required for adding spouse and paid all fees stated including biometrics as his wife is accompanying him, his wife's UCI was updated in his profile after a week. He sent an email after another week that he is still waiting for BIL for his wife. They replied that application is in process and VO will send request for any documents required. Last week, he got a request letter for PPR in his cic account that visa is ready to be issued for them.(this is good news in a way cos of the speed but what about biometrics fee they have paid for)

He has not received BIL up till now, they have until next week to submit these passports. He emailed again last week asking for BIL, no response.

Is there a direct contact for accra office or a more direct way to get their attention? he is trying to avoid any future issues here. . Its frustrating cos these people do not seem to respond to specific questions, just generic emails.
If they do not want her to do it, they should let them know and I guess the $85 will be refunded?

This is an unusual speed..only God could have orchestrated this. The question now is, is the biometrics omission just a one-off or is not a strong prequiste for dependent applicant?

Pls all the gurus attention is needed here..Topsmamen,LadyMarshal, Ifeoma and co pls

I felt guilty for not wanting to share my timeline since I have benefited so much from this forum. So this is me assuaging my guilt

ITA 28th November 2018
AOR: 19th December 2018
BIL: 17th January 2019
Applied for Gcms note March 11th
1st ghost update March 23rd
Paid for my Rprf April 4th
PPR 15th May (dated 14th May ) grin
COPR 11th June
Vo Ottawa
Family of 1

Decision to travel April 2017
Due to the financial recklessness of my then boss and his brothers a viable company was suffering cash flow issues. So they made the employees suffer by reducing pay by 50%. I just made up my mind there and then that I want to leave this country.

IELTS.
Let me just say I was humbled, wrote it 4 times it was the 3rd time that made me seek the assistance of a professional to know what I am doing wrong in writing ,other aspect was always excellent. After that I scaled through finally, got it November 2018.

Eca
I evaluated my Bsc, ican and Acca diploma with WES was lucky I wasn’t asked to add my WAEC.My Ican was evaluated as 2 years professional accounting study. The Acca was evaluated as one semester. After eating the cooked lion liver someone gave to me cheesy I decided to claim two or more certificate with my evaluation report, even when the summary of the report was showing 4years bsc only. I want to appreciate this God sent angel for giving me the push to take the risk. It was really worth it

POF
I used gift deed from my mum that was reflecting 78% of the proof of funds required and the fixed deposit certificate from GTB showing the total pof with the printed copy of exchange rate for the day of submission.

Reference Letter
Having worked for more than six different companies I choose to only use one of them in other to keep my application simple and precise, before submitting my application I ensure to match my work history word for word with what I have on my LinkedIn page so I don’t ommit anything.

Finally all I can say is even though some persons have appointed themselves as assistant vo’s putting fear in people’s mind as regards application, God has the final say just ensure you don’t misrepresent yourself and all the documents you are submitting are true and correct.

Congrats on receiving your copr. Pls I have a few questions:
1. Did you have any ghost update between ppr and copr?
2. How long after submitting your passport did it take for your profile to change to approved?

This is what I got from WES.. Kindly advise further because I don't understand why they're requesting for my BSc transcript.

No you don’t. Masters degree only is what you evaluate to claim points

Congratulations on your Ielts. You did well.

While we wait for those who have encountered the same issue as this to respond, perhaps you can send ICES an email icesinfo@bcit.ca letting them know you want to add the courier option, ensure the email contains your application number and other personal details so they can check your file.

I'll do that. Thank you.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by CheesyTee(f): 10:43am On Jun 18, 2019
For one, you must have added BSc as part of degree to be assessed and from the screenshot, your BSc certificate was sent to them.

If you don’t want you first degree to be evaluated, send them an email to remove it and only to send Masters credentials.
