olapluto:If Nigeria ever qualifies to the next round of the competition which is very unlikely, I do not mind who plays but Okobi and Ayinde. The light in the midfield is Chikwelu and she should be missed due to being carded. I want Okoronkwo, Chukwudi and Uchendu in the lineup. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Dedetwo(m): 8:18pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
fujirice:I guess when a player receives a red card, he/she automatically misses the next match. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by fujirice: 8:32pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
Dedetwo:Yes but she didn’t get a straight red. It was a second caution in one game which turned to red. I think she will still play in the next match |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 8:35pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
fujirice:Nope. Ebere was actually sent off, so she will definitely miss the match. Same with Chikwelu |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 8:40pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
she will miss it fujirice: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 8:43pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
My preferred formation for a possible game v Germany would be: —————————-Nnadozie———————— ————Okeke———Ebi———-Ohale——- —-Ajibade—-Ayinde—Nwabuoku—Okobi—A. Okonkwo— ———————-Oparanozie——U. Kanu————- |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by fujirice: 8:49pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
PDPGuy:Did Chikwelu receive a red card or she was injured? I know Ebere was sent off but it’s not a straight red card. That’s my point |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by fujirice: 8:50pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
isan:O well, let’s wait and see. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 9:38pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
fujirice:Ebere’s case was a double yellow, she still misses the game. Chikwelu isn’t injured, but has accumulated two yellows. So she misses the potential R of 16 match. |

Brazil finish with 6 points and are through to the round of 16. |

Unpopular Opinion Penalty rebound opportunity should be removed in football. The penalty should be between the player and the goalie. If the goalie parries the ball, the match should be restarted with a goal kick. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 10:07pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
semid4lyfe:Won’t that reduce scoring opportunities in soccer? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ykalhaji(m): 10:23pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
semid4lyfe:They are trying to copy basketball free throws. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ykalhaji(m): 10:23pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
So 3rd place in group B and C are through |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 10:32pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
ykalhaji:Yes. The remaining two best 3rd-team spots are between Nigeria, Argentina, Scotland, New Zealand, Cameroon, Chile and Thailand. Nigeria would be guaranteed a knockout place if the Argentina v Scotland, New Zealand v Cameroon, and Chile v Thailand matches all end in draws. This is a LONG shot scenario though. Funny enough, Japan could finish third in their group if they lose to England, and Argentina beat Scotland by a 2-goal margin. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 10:38pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
semid4lyfe:Agreed! The penalty advantage is really being stretched now. A simple penalty yesterday cost Nigeria 2 players and a lot of heartbreak. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 10:43pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
PDPGuy:So we dont need all the matches to end in a draw. We just need 1 or 2 to end in a draw. Chile can beat Thailand 2-0 and still not go through. I personally think Chile will not beat Thailand by much. Thailand are not pushovers like that. Argentina vs Scotland is the massive one for me. If they draw tomorrow night, we are almost guaranteed a place. Cameroon will beat NZ and join us in the R16. I fear VAR will help Scotland tomorrow. The VAR ref for that match....is European! There's a pattern for these things now. VAR ref is European, expect an European VAR advantage. They have used bias to kill VAR in its infancy. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 10:49pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
olapluto:Right. I was just saying that three draws means that we wouldn’t need to calculate GD, FPP, goals scored or goals against, to see if we go through. But if there are 1-2 draws and a win, then we have to whip out the calculators ![]() |

Lol. People are trolling the hell out of Fifa women’s world cup’s IG page with references to the Nigeria v France game. At this rate rate, they may have to delete that page. You see why Ojoro no good ![]() |

semid4lyfe:This should have been the normal thing. It appears the powers that be are trying everything to turn people away from this sport. |

Here's hoping for a boring nil nil between Scotland and Argentina. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by KevinDein: 8:07pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
Dedetwo:You don't rate Ayinde? Not even in your second team. I'd personally go with the team that started the last game with Ajibade coming in for Oshoala |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 8:18pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
Argentina looking sharp. They want to score. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Mizwisdom(f): 8:20pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
PDPGuy:I don't think we'll qualify |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Mizwisdom(f): 8:21pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
KevinDein:Scotland has scored |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 8:22pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
Damn Scotland score. We need an Argentine equalizer. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 8:26pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
Mizwisdom:Fingers crossed |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 8:26pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
olapluto:Could still end in a draw |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Dedetwo(m): 8:29pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
KevinDein:I cannot rate a player who fails to complete simple pass to his/her team mate. Okobi and Ayinde are the worst culprits. |
