Good Morning all, Pls I need a second opinion on this from experienced people here.
Is it advisable to travel to Canada 3 months to the passport expiration date?

Are there possibilities of having challenges at the port of entry in Canada?

It is hard renewing International passport these days.

I would appreciate feedback from anyone knowledgeable about this.
Thanks
You really should renew it back in Nigeria because;
1. Most airlines will refuse to carry you with less than six months validity.
2. It is waaaaaay cheaper to get it done in Nigeria. If you decide to renew in Canada, it will likely involve some travel on your part.
3. For some time after you land, it's going to be your only ID document. Doesn't make sense to have it expire on you before you're all set ID-wise.
4. Re-read number 1

Hello everyone. Please I need advice on how to proceed on this Canny journey. I have read all the threads but I want clarifications on some grey areas.

I want to apply as married. I am 41, have a masters degree and over 10yrs experience in banking. Based on my age and if I dust IELTS, 400ish is sketchy.

Wifey is 36, has two certificates but has been self employed in her own CAC registered biz for 7 years though she is named on the website of the company as the GM, she is still the main shareholder. If she gets a good IELTS score can she be the PA? We plan to both write the test anyway and get both our certificates evaluated to boost the score. Please advise if business owners are qualified to apply through EE.

Please our experienced people in the house, what is the best way to go? PNP? Who is most qualified to be the PA?

Kindly help

.

I think PNP may be the best route. I used your wife as PA on the CRS tool and even if both you evaluate your degrees and get 8777 or even maximum scores on IELTS you're still getting around 430/442 which isn't enough these days for an invitation to apply.

Yes!! The courses are more of introductory courses to ICT. I also don't have a background in ICT or Computer Science. My First degree was in History and International Relations.

You will really need the training and support from an approved centre because BCS recommended textbooks are very bulky and intimidating. Like three or more bulky textbooks for each of the courses. However, the approved centre has its own condensed materials (videos, audio, and soft copies). They have a WhatsApp group where they frequently drop materials and answer questions asked.

There is also a weekly Webinar on Saturdays when all students connect live for classes. I like the fact that the TRAINING IS ONLINE YOU DON'T HAVE TO TRAVE TO DOWN TO JOS, PLATEAU STATE, NIGERIA.

I may not be able to answer all the questions here, please kindly contact them for more info

It's allowed. Go through the PPR stories on Page 1 for the different parts. There are two from Part 7 that I remember well. I'm sure there are more than that.

The soft copy is ready as soon as evaluation is complete. In fact, that's all you need to enter the pool. If tomorrow is your due date, I bet it'll be ready today. That's WES' way, except that has recently changed.

Thank you that means i can make it

WES sends soft copies. If it doesn't arrive on the stated day of completion, should be max 1 - 3 days after that.

Still on the UCI matter, my problemis i can'tget that UCI because I've revoked that GCkey and I don't think I printed that refusal letter. Pleaseany suggestions?
Stephanie09:

Your answer should be YES, you’ve been denied before. You can’t pick No when you know you should have picked yes. Don’t give yourself unnecessary tension. Please check well. UCI number is different from application number.

Background

Medicals

Medicals was with Qlife on 30th Nov. An angel @jobsinit on this platform graciously gifted me her slot for a family of 4 on 30th November 2018. I don’t know if they still allow date swaps but all we did then was she sent an email to them stating that she had no more need of the date and asked that it be given to me. They acknowledged and approved the swap and that was it! We went for the tests and unknowingly neglected to inform the physician that hubby had TB about 20 years ago! His X-ray showed the scar on his chest and on 13th December 2018, we were sent an ADR for further medicals. He had to do Hepatitis B and Sputum test which cost about N67,500! It was a trying time as I was not sure of what the outcome would be. But hubby was confident his health is excellent. He told me he was completely diligent with his treatment routine at that 20 years ago. But he prayed that his result should not be swapped or any error occurred in the laboratory. We prayed that all will be positive. We then had to wait for 3 whole months for the sputum test result! To the glory of God, it came out negative and hubby was cleared!

Congratulations!!!
Very best wishes to you and your family...

I also had to undergo further tests to rule out TB. Earlier this week, IOM told me the sputum smear and culture all came back negative, and I don't require any further tests. I had thought a repeat x-ray was compulsory after 3 months for everyone. Was that was happened to your husband?
thanks in advance...

How? I don't understand

It can only raise doubts if the VO is a Nigerian.
Oyibos don't think that way about marriage

haba why are you worried. people have used only court. considering his situation, young nigerian man marrying older lady during EE process. As a VO it would surely raise doubts thats its arrangee

I confirmed yesterday the result is still in Lagos. I saw the form with my eyes. I don't know where Wes saw what they updated.

Saw such change with my account during my evaluation with them when school was still saying they haven't received any verification mail.

After a week it went back to previous status.

Hello house, if my CRS score is high enough to get me an ITA in the next draw ( I chose spouse education as less than secondary school)..does my spouse still need to get ECA done?
Also do you think it's best for spouse to write Ielts than getting ECA as Ielts gives more point than his education (bsc)?
