kcosam:It is not mandatory, but could be of advantage when your application gets to the background check process. |

kvbenjamin44:Honestly I am not happy the way these people refuse study visa. If they have a limit or a set standard or a format, they should just let us know. It's really getting too much and they always come up with these same reasons. I am sorry about you refusal, I urge you to take it in good faith and see it just as a refusal and not a rejection. Look for the loose ends and tie up and then reapply. Please make sure you get it right the next time even if you have to take your time. And very importantly, take it all to God in prayers very seriously. #ItWillEndInPraise |

Sorry for ur refusal ... But with the look of things with ur post,it's obvious u haven't been able to convince them that u are a genuine student that is going to Canada to study and then come back to ur home country.. So in ur next application, u need to write a string and convincing SOP stating why u are studying ur preferred course and how it can be beneficial to you in the future.. Also u fail to convince them that u are financially capable of ur studies and expenses in Canada and also home tie. So u need to work on ur finances in ur next application . Like u will always advise, order for ur GCMS to knw what really is the problem with ur application from the VOs view... Peace kvbenjamin44: |

Obehi44:hello, is there anyone who knows a university in Canada I can apply for scholarship? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Sumji: 5:08am On Jun 22, 2019 |
If I understand you correctly... You don't trust that the agent has actually secured the admission and you're trying to verify his claim that the admission is ready since the offer letter hasn't been handed over to your relative yet? What reason did the agent give for holding back your relatives admission letter? Not sure this forum is interested in agent wahala, hahahaha, but the University caught my interest. N/B: The moment an applicant is granted an admission at University of Regina, the ADMISSION LETTER IS SENT TO THE EMAIL ADDRESS THAT WAS USED TO CREATE THE APPLICANTS PROFILE. There is nothing like, admission without Admission letter. There is no pick up location for admission letter, it is in the registered email address of the applicant, all that is needed is to print it out. SetZ: |

SetZ:Yes it is possible for admission to process to take some time, depending on so many factors. What academy session is your close relative admitted for? As for the admission letter, the school will send soft copy to his email address and send the hard copy to his Postal address, though some schools have representatives and they send it to the student through them. My advice is this, if the agent has given your relative the admission letter he can contact the school just to be sure of its authenticity. Lastly, let your relative come to this forum himself to get information, as what you are doing won't help him. He needs to know somethings himself and not people doing them for him |

Hi gurus and travel hopefuls! So my GCMS note came out last weekend as expected. (Popular 3 reasons: Travel history, Purpose of Visit, and Finance). No rush, I'm extending my resumption to January 2020. By the end of July next month, that's when I plan to re-apply. So many things I now know to do differently from following this thread. Please!!! I will be posting my newly drafted SOP on the group for review, next week. Please I would need all the best hands on deck. More blessings on us all!! |

Morning all, I got my refusal after the BVL based purpose of visit and personal asset. I have a national diploma and bachelors degree in statistics and going for master of applied statistics at memorial university. SOP was reviewed by frankrobbn1 and gboyegaD and with the trend in refusal based on the reason above, I think they are just dishing this thing out blindly. For personal asset, I submitted a 4 month personal SOA of 1.9m with inflow around 50m, landed property documents and CAC document. I never expected personal asset in my app. I think I will take my time before submitting another application. |

Please house is it possible for someone to help you pick up your processed passport from the vsf office in lagos if the passport owner is not available to pick it up himself or herself? |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 7:06am On Jun 22, 2019 |
shantelleasante:No it is not, the best way would have been paying for courier service when you submitted the passport and VFS will send it to your home. But at this stage you have to go pick it up yourself. |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Obehi44: 7:38am On Jun 22, 2019 |
ALT2:Sorry for the refusal. Yes I agree with you on the ground that they dish out these useless generic reasons anyhow and that is why I mention earlier that they should just a give a format or a standard or tell us if there is a specific amount of people they give and when. You had 1.9m, landed properties, CAC documents etc, what else will they expect from a student? Even if you won't return back, the question should be, did you really went to the school? Was your stay there in anyway a treat to the country or economy? Did you have a good conduct while there? They can even take a statistics of Nigerians there to know whatever they wish to know. Anyway, like I have learnt how to advise applicants, tie up loose ends and shot them again, I also believe they like that application fee, therefore it's nearly a case of 1/10 for new or first applicants. #ItWillEndInPraise |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by SOPWriter: 8:04am On Jun 22, 2019 |
makano:That is it! The VO, looks for important keys in your SOP that answers undisclosed questions, and once that is absent, there might be denial. SOP quality is what magnet the credit, not the length. Try to compose something necessarily informative while on this process. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by SOPWriter: 8:10am On Jun 22, 2019 |
kvbenjamin44:Pardon me please, Visa Transcript is only applicable to oral interview (USA and others). I meant the documents submitted, just like those who posted their testimonies. We can figure out the issue with that. |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by SOPWriter: 8:15am On Jun 22, 2019 |
ALT2:That's sad. However, I will suggest you subtract your first year tuition and $10,000 from your available balance. The problem might be from there, those assets only count as home ties. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by ALT2(m): 8:22am On Jun 22, 2019 |
SOPWriter:I had a sponsor who provided his SOA of around 30m and pledged to support me with 20000CAD per year in addition to MUN financial support of 4732CAD per year |

. The approval didn't come as a surprise to me, because I was too sure about it's favourable outcome after been up and about for several nights, writing and cracking my brain in an effort to put up an undeniable application, considering that she had a 38,000CAD$ full scholarship from Brock University. Documents were bulky yet very clear and readable. @Dera12345, I have always known you to be a self-motivated and relentless maiden who aspire to attain greater heights in life. We have been in this tedious process since last year and I can tell how many times you were rejected by potential Supervisors. I am extremely delighted that the whole struggles and hurdles ended with a remarkable Victory. Thanks once again for trusting and believing so much in my capacity my dear Dera12345
