Unfortunately the chances of your getting a visa to attend a language school are minuscule. French can be studied from the basics all the way to advanced level in Nigeria as well as in Benin and Togo next door.

Hello everyone, my sponsor is trying to address his letter on my behalf to the embassy, the confusing Part is that Netherlands doesn't have an embassy in Nigeria, it's only France embassy and Belgian embassy that reviews Netherland Visa application. I am currently in Abuja now and the closest to me will be the Belgium embassy. Should he address it to the Belgian embassy since there is no Netherlands consular in Nigeria? Secondly I will be Going to the vfs on 1st of July to submit in Abuja, and I have gotten my Bank statement ready since 20th June, please house will my bank statement still be relevant since I got it 10days before submitting.. ..... Please I want Everyone's opinion

Of course it's your choice. And it's also their choice to refer you to the French learning facilities all around you and not give you a visa for that purpose.

There is Netherland embassy in Lagos and Abuja but they don't attend to visa issues.

Direct your letter to the Netherlands embassy at Abuja.

Yes, your bank statement will still be relevant but it must not be older than 14 days

Hi Guys.

I want to know if i can submit father’s company account worth only 3.5million but with inflow of atleast 800k in a month and out flow of at least 500k per months. It’s a small vendor company that handles servicing and repairs of AC for Polaris Bank. His personal account also worth 900k.

I also want to submit my personal bank account with 500k and about 1.2million inflow and outflow with no definite pattern because I do business and handles installation of AC and repairs for private homes using my Fathers Company name.

I’m also thinking I can request my aunt’s bank account with at least 6million and flow of about 17million.

I am going for Masters degree with tuition fee of 1500euro and CROUs housing of 238euro. My father’s company name is in his name. Intitials of his first name and middle name plus surname.

Also, I got into this program with HND distinction and the requirements of the program is First class Bachelor. I explained in my motivation letter how my HND was translated with WES and my work experience. I hope the French Embassy does not in anyway bothers about this?

Also when is the best time to submit my visa application. Campus France is still reviewing my submitted documents.

Thanks

I don't know about the Campus France process; the time we were applying for masters' degree programs was quite long ago ('03, '04), so I can't speak to current procedures for student visas, but I can only assume that they've gotten tighter, and not less stringent than what they were at the time.

With respect to your financing arrangements, back then the embassy was requesting proof of living costs of 600 euro a month (approximately 240,000 naira now). They were also liberal, allowing you to present an uncle or other relation's bank statement for sponsorship, and not only parents.

So you simply need to decide if your financing arrangements are enough to provide proof of at least 7,200 euros annually for your program.

In planning your application, address these points:

1. 500k naira is about 1,200 euros. You need to address the logicality of spending your entire life savings on a course.

2. Bear in mind that your father's bank account may not be worth much in this respect since unless you are the only child it is not logical for a parent to spend a chunk of their approximately 300k monthly income on sponsoring one child abroad (what about his own needs and those of the other children, what happens to them?).

3. Value of the master's degree to future prospects in Nigeria which will ensure your return. If you haven't held down formal employment before and/or the master's is not in a related field to your degree it becomes harder to justify and you will be deemed a potential immigrant.

4. It will help your case if you can show proof of your aunt having supported you in the past, so it doesn't seem as if she's just giving you a bank statement for the visa process.

Good news! From 1st of July, you don't need to book appointment before you can submit your visa application at VFS. All you need to do is get your papers, walk in and submit.

The VAC has turned introduction of prior online appointments into exploitation! I saw how people without appointments were ushered in through the backdoor and they were charged extra costs. I can categorically say that appointment dates were international left closed because of VAC' s exploitative ambition.

Hi guys

How long does the France embassy take to give visas now after application?

Thanks

@uchetobi
The application process for a France visitor visa (or Schengen visa for France) usually takes between 10-15 working days, but some applications can take up to a month.

Yes. You need to book appointment. And please select your right category. First timers are those that do not have
Two schengen visa in the last 5 years. ONLY select "Frequent" If you have at least Two schengen visas in the last five years.

Good day brothers, i'm a sports journalist and i received an invitation from FIFA last friday for a semi final match in the ongoing Women's world cup in France that will be played a week today. I submitted required details to them on Friday which they acknowledged yesterday evening, then asking me to book an appointment with the French Embassy in Nigeria and relate back to them, but the problem is that i've tried booking and i'm seeing "There's no available seats in the France-Nigeria Embassy Lagos..

What can i do now with respect to booking?
