I think Rohr’s conservative stance is hindering the progress of the team when it comes to developing our lethal nature upfront. If he was more adventurous, he should have started Osimhen ahead of Onuachu with Musa/Onyekuru with Iwobi in the middle and had a good go at the Burundi team from day one. Just like we saw Aina yesterday and Ebuehi in the Argentine game, Rohr has a habit of putting his foot on the brakes in his selection.

We can not know how good Osimhen is if he does not give him a quality chance. Glad Ighalo is back and I hope we take a good lead early in the game for him to give Osimhen a nod. I believe he we will be impressed with Osimhen if given a nod. He offers more movement upfront and will give the midfield and wingers better passing options.
Musa was Ill remember?? Ighalo also wasn't fully fit. Rohr stuck to his word and started the fittest players.

I like how the minnows have bridged the gap on the so called big guns of the continent. Egypt and Nigeria were all made to work really hard for their wins and here is Namibia going toe to toe with this talented Moroccan team.

Okay, you own my TV. grin

Somebody wey no say Taiwo made Ligue 1 team of the season until I told him. Keep deceiving yourself.

I am an Oruma fan. I was watching Marseille games because of Oruma. I was watching Oruma teaching Nasri how to play ball on the pitch. This one, you can not Google and claim. I followed them because of Oruma. I was watching with Beye in the team before he left.

I hope it is fitness issue and Rohr tidies the team fast with a more offensive and direct setup in front. Clever build up play and quick finishing.

Musa has loads of experience and he uses that to our advantage.
It's not a matter of who is better. It's a matter of who will guarantee we continue to progress in this competition. Let Onyekuru be that quality player in the bench, who can come in to change the game when we are lack of ideas. When that time comes, let's hope he shows the quality you are talking about.

TheGoodJoe:

Is that not because Musa is giving run of games? Did you watch how brilliant Onyekuru was I think against Seychelles. Would Musa dream of having such ability on the ball?

Without Ebuehi given a chance, would we know how good he was in the green white green?

You got that from reading Wiki or some blog. You will not watch league matches of Ligue 1 and see them give Taiwo Team of the season
I repeat, I watched Taiwo in Marseille more than you because I watched their games well.

How come you don't know uniit I told you? It's like saying you will not know SERGIO AGUERO, Raheem, and your other Manchester City players made premier League team of the season until you read it on Wikipedia. Bhuhahahaha grin

Even blind man wey follow watch EPL go no say dem must dey am. You are a just joking. grin

I do not believe in experience but quality, if not Mbappe would not be one of the best in the World. CR7 AND Messi were among the best in the World in their teens. Xavi as a teen was playing for Barcelona main team.

Whether experienced or not, it is about the quality we bring. Chukwueze despite not being experienced brought loads of quality.

When I said Celestine was better, it is by watching, not browsing. I have watched both sufficiently. You haven't.

Taiwo was in a mickey mouse league. Celestine was in Chelsea battling with an English International for the left back role, Graeme Le Saux. You will not know things like this because you just browse and use that as yardstick for knowing. Playing at Chelsea and Marseille are two different things. When Taiwo came to the EPL, he did not light fire.

I wonder where you got that from. I already highlighted the impact of his performance. Explained how he stretched the game, made direct runs.

I just said I believe Onyekuru would have added more quality, not that Musa played badly.

Can you highlight the qualities?

This goal will give you a window to how effortless Babayaro was when running down the flanks. This goal was scored against Middlesbrough and you see Babayaro dashed into the 18 yard box, got himself one on one with the keeper to score.

What was even more impressive about him was that if the team lost the ball and an attack mounted but the opposition, he would quickly fall back and cover.

This will give a hint of his quality on the ball. Babayaro was not just a dasher. He was also creative with good techniques. There were times to players will double to mark him and he will see them off with some def touches.

That was why it was interesting watching Aina pull off some tricks to highlight something we have missed for years, even during the time of Taiwo.

Musa made a big impact in yesterday's game. Barring fitness issues, he is more likely to start.
What Musa brings to SE is undebatable. Is Onyekuru better? Only time will tell. But there is no basis for comparison at the moment. Musa has 4 WC goals -- the most by an SE player.

Modified
Seychelles game is just one game.

Chelsea was an average club as at the time Celestine Babayaro played there. Marseille was a better and bigger club than Chelsea as at the time Celestine Babayaro played for Chelsea. You can only deceive those who didn't follow Chelsea. grin

Did Celestine Babayaro light fire in EPL? grin

Taye Taiwo still performed better than Celestine Babayaro when he came to EPL. grin
