Hello. I recently got a correspondence letter today without medicals and I know it's usually followed up by refusal. Please I will need any advice you can offer. My school doesn't accept deferral so I need to reapply as soon as possible. My profile 20 years old Studied bachelors in turkey(mechanical engineering) graduated July 2018. Cgpa: 3.7/4 Submitted documents All imm forms Degree certificate Admission letter from UBC (mechanical eng masters) Passport Digital photo Birth certificate Valuation of landed properties 2 pages SOP Financial documents 2 of my Fathers SOA with sum of 17 million naira Father pension account: 400k naira My father sold some assets to make the money up to 17 million naira. I provided the deed of conveyance of the sold properties as proof. I was previously denied a Visa due to failure to provide biometrics (country i previously applied didn't have VAC). I attached my refusal letter in my client information document. Please any advice you can provide will be extremely appreciated. Thank you |

JOCng:Hey, I regret to hear your visa was rejected.... From my point of view, I can confidently point out that your study plan was vague and poorly written. How did you relate your intended program with your previous studies and current employment status. It will also be a big risk but not impossible to reapply for visa against fall term at this point without an upfront medical as the current processing times is 10 weeks and you would require to restructure your SOP which would also take some few days prior to your reapplication. In a nutshell, I would suggest you work on presenting a logical and persuasive SOP and LOE that would substantiate that you're a genuine student with a lawful purpose to study and would depart Canada. The SOP/LOE should be well organized with ideas supported with relevant details. Paragraphing must also be used well. Furthermore, work on your ties to Nigeria that can motivate your departure after studies.(Aged parents who depend on you for support, parents landed properties/buildings, close bond b/w you and your immediate siblings and things you share in common with them, you belong to any organization in Nigeria which you must return to continue active participation in meetings, and your career Prospects in Nigeria upon your return etc...) Best of luck |

My brother frank please answer my question I am the only child of my parents and my father have a housing property that is rented out valued at 40 million naira and I have the valuation Certificate that bears my father's name can I submit it based on family ties that I will inherit according to tradition please advice me well |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Frankrobbn1: 11:33pm On Jun 27, 2019 |
nonipeter:Of course you can. It's a very strong tie to your TRV application considering that it has a valuation report which would adequately inform the visa officer that your family is well off in Nigeria and you can't abandon such profit-oriented building which you're traditionally heir to for a Canadian stay. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Frankrobbn1: 11:43pm On Jun 27, 2019 |
mzjokky16:Your dad giving you 5M out of 35M is sufficiently enough to sponsor you and i can state that you won't have any problem with financial sufficiency in your application. At this point, you should be more concerned about your purpose of study in Canada and ties to Nigeria that can compel your return home after studies. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Frankrobbn1: 11:53pm On Jun 27, 2019 |
MUN19:Basketball team is not a tie and can't motivate you to leave Canada after studies rather it will give the visa officer the impression that you're going to Canada to further develop your basketball skills and reside permanently in Canada. Hence, A reference letter from such organization has no impact on your application. You're better off looking out for recommendations from your local church or your local community. These are regarded as a tie to applicants home country. |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 4:42am On Jun 28, 2019 |
JOCng:Your profile looks okay, but I noticed you didn't mention how much your tuition fee is. Also, try and order for your gcms note as that will explain why you were delayed. Good luck |

JOCng:My 2 cents, remove the pension account from your submission except if "400k naira" is a typo. |
