Ifeoma77, welcome to Canada. You are really a jaiye jaiye person. With this attitude, you will not be long in the labour market. This is the kind of energy they need here. If you doubt me check their job postings, you will always see fast paced environment mentioned. Enjoy your vacation and please add July 1 as part of your vacation because no business opens on that day and it will help you see how Canadian enjoy their day. Connect with a community close to you on that day and enjoy their events. 10 Likes |

Hotstepper:Alberta, Calgary to be precise. The family lives just two buildings from the school and they decided that's where they want the kids to attend, no questions asked once tgeir residential address was confirmed. |

Ehimen100: Are you sure it's original? Is your info on FRSC database? Go to frsc website and do like you want to renew your license. Put in the requested details and see the response. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Hotstepper:I believe it's about demand and supply. I could not get my kids into one close to my residence in Calgary due to lots of applications from kids that were catholics. When I moved to Sask, it took only a few weeks for them to get back to us that the aplication was succesful since they couldn't fill up the classes. We were interviewed and made to sign some documents about being comfortable for our kids attending masses, the religious symbols and I think the frequent prayers. I felt right at home since the Anglican was carved out of Catholic anyway. Our creeds are very similar. We even have a line that says we believe in the holy catholic church. 21 Likes 4 Shares |

Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Ehimen100: 5:03am On Jul 01, 2019 |
19CannyMum: No special gist really. Took the knowledge test as usual, passed and submitted my Nigerian driver's license. Went back after 2 weeks only to be told that my exemption was denied. A letter was given to me telling me that they couldn't authenticate my license and I can either get a letter from my country consulate in Ottawa or from the license issuing authority. After which I can resubmit for exemption. That simple! |

Ehimen100: Interesting. I guess you need to request FRSC letter from Abuja or contact Nig HC in Ottawa. Hopefully this is not a new trend. |
