Does this mean that "All African Games" is age-graded?

The Italians have collapsed in this second half! Anytime they have some possession, they’re quickly disposed by the Dutch!

I expect Holland to win and make it through. I was so glad USA knocked out France too. grin

And the Dutch went through cheesy
I expect them to beat either Germany or Sweden in the semis because the Dutch are technically superior to both teams; though Sweden/German have the edge in terms of athleticism.

You are right my man. smiley

Netherlands with Lieke Martens, Miedema, Van de Don et al are really really superior technically. They play like their male counterparts. Their football is so sweet to behold. They have that edge over the other European teams even the super athletic England.
It would be bloody close but I expect A Holland triumph in the semis against any of Germany or Sweden. Talking of Germany vs Sweden.... Well, hard to call but let me give it to the Efficient German girls. If they fail, then that is their business... Lol

But USA vs England is gonna be the tightest game yet in this WWC edition. But I still tip USA to make the final vs Netherlands. Let's see how it goes.

Yes, I fully expect the English ladies to give the Americans a stern test! I’m looking forward to the wing battles between Lucy Bronze - the best full back in the women’s game - and Megan Rapinoe; and Nikita Parris and Crystal Dunn.

If the English ladies shackle both American wingers - Rapinoe and Heath - they’d also have the unenviable task of shackling the American midfield trio of Mewis, Lavelle, and Horan/Ertz, who are clearly the best midfield trio at the tournament, to have any slight chance of winning the game. The tactical battles all over the pitch makes this game a must-watch one on Tuesday.

Looking forward to next year’s Olympics, assuming the Super Falcons make it, I wouldn’t want to see the likes of Chikwelu, Ayinde, Oparanozie, Nwabuoku and Faith Michael near the team.
The players from the last U-20 World Cup should form the bulk of the 18-player squad, with Toni Payne, Umotong joining them.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 10:48pm On Jul 03, 2019
FT: Netherlands 1-0 Sweden..

The Netherlands have now won 12 consecutive matches at both the last European championships and this World Cup shocked
It would be tough for the US against this Dutch team, but the superior athleticism of the US should give the Stars and Stripes the slight edge.

faith Michael and chikwelu are not needed again ....I think ayinde and oparanozie can play from the bench

We are going to see 8 more “Thailands” then grin grin
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 10:52pm On Jul 05, 2019
For the proposed 32-team WWC, I'd suggest the following slot allocation:

*CAF - 5.5
UEFA - 12
CONCACAF - 4
CONMEBOL - 4
*AFC - 5.5
Oceania - 1

The last spot will be decided by an Intercontinental playoff between Africa's 5th best team and AFC's 6th best team

You could not be more correct. You should have added Onome Ebi, Oshoala and Ajibade. This girl Ajibade will jinx any Nigerian team that has her as a member.

You're spot on with regard to Onome Ebi. She is already 36, and should give way for a CB partnership of Ohale and Chidinma Okeke.
But I still think Ajibade and Oshoala should continue to be part of the team. Ajibade was easily our best attacker at the WC despite playing only 45 minutes throughout the tournament.

This would be my ideal starting 11 at the Olympics

-----------------Nnadozie-------------

--Ologbosere--C.Okeke---Ohale----N. Ebere----

----------Igbinovia---Peace Efih--------

---------------Tony Payne---------------

---Ordega---Oshoala---U.Kanu------

The likes of Umotong and Ajibade can start from the bench.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 1:17am On Jul 06, 2019
The Super Falcons will kick start their 2020 Olympics qualification with a double-header against Algeria in August and September. And will have to play at least 6 more matches (4 rounds in total) to qualify for the Olympics.

Assuming the team advances to the 5th round of qualifying, and lose both legs, they would have to play a two-legged intercontinental playoff against Chile, sometime in January and February 2020. The winner of that playoff qualifies for the Olympics.

Ajibade and Ohale distinguished themselves well at the WWC.
Oshoala, for some reason was bang average at the tournament; maybe it had to do with the ultra-defensive tactics of Dennerby. However, I’ll still take her along because her pace and strength would be a valuable addition to the team.

Right.
In a 3-5-2, the three defenders could be Okeke, Ohale and Ijeoma Kenneth.

Why's Onome missing? plus Oshoala, I don't understand her again. We need agile players not strollers on the field. People like Greene of UK and Robinoe of US teams. We need coaches like Garry, to achieve anything meaningful in the world stage

Onome is 36...And the last WC was probably her last international tournament for Naija.

The falcons are the 11th best national female team of all time, pretty good. But I fear we will go down that list in just a couple of years from now. Most of the countries are actively working hard to improve their female leagues while we seem to be regressing.

Sad.
