We have a SE player that can curve FKs in. His FKs can even cause goals. We left him at home naa.... His name is Kelechi Iheanacho.

I don't see why we took an Onuachu who Rohr cannot set up our wings to feed while we dropped an Iheanacho who can give us a fighting Chance from just one set-piece. It is sad. Yes, he deserves to be dropped but we are missing a key part of what he brings to the team.

So no S.E player can curve free kick for us ...

Rohr should be sacked weda we win account or not

No, u need a player that can move with ball, dribble while moving with the ball to open up spaces and at the same time attracted fouls at the dangers zones. U dont need anybody to hold up play

I am a Chelsea fan, so I know about that Park bus stuff because Chelsea doesn't against teams and teams do it against Chelsea.

In park bus situation, you should be ready to take shots outside the box and cross the ball into the box.

I have said it before, Rohr is not a coach man is rightly the white version of onigbinde.
Starting lineup was nothing to write home about, why start Mikel in AM, not only that he played Ogu to partner him Lol, no wonder they moved like snail.

First u want to attack u brought in Ndidi for Ogu an Iwobi for Ogu and Mikel drops back would have been it. He just wasted that sub chance.

Secondly u brought out kalu for moses who looks more lively than musa, when u have chuks and Onyekuru, such a pity.

Am expecting him to be sacked though cos no coaching sense.

I am happy we lost at this stage.
This is the type of defeat that spurs team to success.
There is no cause for alarm, we lost to two fortuitous goals despite changing almost all our regular Midfielders.
We are winning this AFCON.

What did Kalu do with his skills when the game was open?

How much more when the Madagascans parked the bus?

Chukwueze and Onyekuru can't thrive in Park the bus situation because the thrive with space afforded them
I follow Onyekuru's games in the Turkish league. Onyekuru's tricks and style of play enables him to score even in tight spaces. Ask me how.

I thought I was the only one that noticed this, Ighalo leans on defenders so when they avoid him he falls, the madacascas were not push overs so he cannot bully them.

Rohr has his good sides but bravery and invention is definitely not part of it. He is just too Conservative. Even a goal down to Madagascar and his first change was Conservative.
He had no other choice. We would've been slaughtered on the break if he brought on an attacking player for Mikel.
He should never have started both Ogu and Mikel since he has no idea on how to utilize him.

my takes on the game

1 ezenwa you're so unlucky today coz of the bad defense and midfield alaye Pele

2 balogun was solid today I won't blame him for the blunder I'll rather blame the dude that pass the boy to him

3 ekong was average sha coz he contributed attack wise

4 aina was also above average sha.

5 awaziem :- papa wetin do you no be fashion show we come do here abi excursion nah main biz we mean Nigeria no bring you come flaunt six packs oooo though the dude was better than the last match but his attitude towards the game was really bad

6 Mikel :- broda Mikel go pass your bus seriously your David Silva style of attacking midfield is really slow coz we no get de bruyne for your back wey fast but you slowed the attack like kilode

7 ndidi :- next captain the guy gave his undivided devotion to the game the guy really played as a defensive midfielder, creative midfielder and attacking midfielder I wonder why we still get other midfielder in the team rohr for don bring striker make he be the only In that midfield coz etebo was not complementing this dude work

8 etebo :- uhmmm you're really worse today your mobility , strength was really against you and before I forget in your life till you retire no play any free kick for us
9 iwobi :- you try your best today ahhh no I didn't expect this from you'd have had an assist if not for baba ighalo ... Weldon bro
10 Musa :- wetin do this guy today coz he was brought in as a LWF he told kalu to play his position and he played RWF today alaye if you can't play or cross with your left foot take plane back to kaduna and your useless dribble you'd have a goal to your self

11 ighalo :- alaye your service is no more needed go and join your family

12 kalu :- you fall my hand today 3/10

commentators :- this was actually mocking Nigeria today

rohr ;- I don't want you to be sacked so for our next match if Musa no fi play LWF pls bring onyekuru and baba ighalo should be replace by osihmen

Rohr is OK but his major problem is that he lacks the technical capacity to change game situation. He doesn't know how to exploit opponents weaknesses.

With the possession we had in the first half, Ndidi wasn't needed. Replace Ogu with Iwobi, at least Mikel and Etebo played together against Zimbabwe (our coach no dey learn anything).
For me Musa wasn't in that game, Onyekuru should have replaced him.

Why should we be using two DMs against Madagascar(with due respect)... so what will he use against Egypt !!

What's d point in talking 23 players to a tournament and you keep using a set of 16...
Even if Nigeria win or draw the game, I'm not totally comfortable with the use of the players, especially today's game.

Have never seen him as a great coach from the start. He stuck to HIS formation when 2 goals down for more than 30 minutes. Brought in a DM when we needed to attack. what exactly was he trying to achieve? we needed a winger and one more striker, not a DM.

That man needs caning.

We needed to use aeria ball to beat the strong defence, there and there he should have brought in Osihmen or Onuachu to come play ahead of Ighalo and with good winger operating from the wings.

Mikel out for Simon
Kalu for Chukwueze
Musa out for Onuachu/Osimen.

Operate from the wings.

Let Etebo and Ogu just do the dirty job in the middle with Simo and Chukwu going back to help the middle (Both playing as LW, RW)

Ighalo coming back a bit to fight for balls when not with us and Onachu/Osimen using their height/body to deal with aeria balls sent in by the new wingers with Ighalo dealing with any loose balls in the box.

This coach needs cane.

The coach needs cane meen!

After Mikel's horror show as AM in the Burundi game I was hoping Rohr will see the bloody truth. Play Mikel as your deep lying CM!!!! "Mbanu," says Rohr.

Now to this game, I told you it was obvious Ogu was gonna sit deep with Etebo to play mobile CM. But Rohr f**ked that up too. We who analyse this game keenly know Ogu should be DM in this set-up but Rohr mixed it all up. And you are right, player roles also contributed to this loss.

Rohr doesn't seem to know how best to fit in players and into what system. He may have gotten a few picks right but in other key areas he has flunked. This is why he cannot get the best outta Iheanacho... And now a Chukwueze. Rohr lacks attacking invention and bravery. It is nauseating. Siasia with this team may concede against Madagascar but he won't serve us this rubbish loss. Siasia will beat Madagascar blue black and green!

Nonsense and Rohr!!!

edi287:
This is an eye opener. Perhaps we'll wake the Bleep up. We have been too complacent.
I've said it once and will continue to say it - Rohr is average at best tactically. I appreciate the organization and harmony he's brought to the squad thanks to his man management skills - but his tactical acumen is just too average.

The midfield cost us this game today. Player roles were muddled up (i.e Etebo playing as the deepest mid, Ogu playing box to box, etc). Mikel lacked the intensity and slowed our game down when we needed quick 1-2s to break their defence.
Ogu did absolutely nothing. If you're going to play two slow immobile mids like Ogu and Mikel - make sure you get their positioning right.

Kalu should not have started. Dude didn't look a 100 percent fit to me. If anyone was going to get tried out - it should've been Onyekuru.

This result is beyond disgraceful. Not because we lost - but the manner in which we need. No intensity - nothing.
Ighalo has been dominated by the opposing CB for the second game running.
No one should dare make up any excuses for this result.

We had ... Osimhen: 20goals, onyekuru: 16goals. 36goals worth of talent on the bench!!
We were 1 goal down, and Mr Rohr decided to introduce a Dm?
I wish I could shoot him dead right now.

You're dreaming bro. I had such believe before the world cup. I'm back from dream land. Rhor cannot win a tournament. He will always qualify to a tournament but cannot win it.

His mindset is fixated on not wanting to concede than on wanting to score. That 4 nil bashing of Cameroon was just coincidental.
