that was keshi nah... keshi is a better tactician than rohr.
Rohr is just reaping from the talents at his disposal...tactically he is very poor
really? in that nations cup we drew our first two games from winning positions with few min left before me managed to go past Ethiopia with two late Victor Moses goals, not sure you'd have said this after the group games in 2013

I don talk am before na.. Most Nigerians just watch football, they don't follow the game!! ... I can bet my goatee that most people didn't even know where Nwakali was playing before he featured in that Atletico game. they didn't even know he played for Porto B last season.. it's just the Atletico game they remember...
Nwakali should step up and put in some hard work during the pre season so arsenal can get him a better club this summer...the talent is there no doubt, but it needs more polishing.

As for Musa Mohammed, that boy was seen as the future of our RB.. he went to Croatia and that was it...
Where is he now self

Undoubtedly. Rohr's tactical knowledge is not even up to that of the average TV sports analyst.
Henry, G. Neville, scholes etc have proved that it's easier said than done

Rohr has been quite underwhelming & my eyes have been open ( to theGoodjoe's joy tongue) that his style of play is not future stuff . However, I can't see a replacement, maybe Herve Renard
Renard is no better, go check out all his teams even Lille, always a low scoring team. Morocco have scored just thrice in this tourney, he's only marginally better than Rhor, their style is the same, good defensive organisation almost clueless on good attacking moves

Keshi is better than rohr ,not all this one you are saying naija had to use late victor moses goals to qualify ,anybody wey qualify qualify no matter the way e take qualify ,rohr has done his best and I appreciate

You no dey see keshi weak squad wey him use win afcon same weak squad qualified for the round of 16 at the 2014 World Cup and narrowly lost to France

Oboabona ,omeruo ,oshaniwa ,I can't even mention more ,the bench was so weak full with crappy players like flavour nabania uchebo, they beat the star studded Ivorian team

You think this rohr tactic can even beat a Bosnia team at the World Cup and get a draw against a stubborn Iranian side ?

Crystal Palace have been left incensed by Arsenal's
approach to sign Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Zaha.

The Gunners have offered £40m, which will not even be considered.

Palace value Zaha at around £80m and are furious with Arsenal for what they believe to be a ham-fisted attempt to destabilise the Ivorian and secure a cut-price deal.

They would expect a drastically higher fee than the £50m Manchester United paid them for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Wan-Bissaka is a 21-year-old right-back with limited experience and no international caps; Zaha is a 26-year-old winger with vast experience and a full international.

Zaha signed a new five-year contract last summer, which recognised his importance to the team and club by making him by far the highest-paid player in Palace history.

Given the player had been keen to leave at that point, the agreement was reached on the basis that the Eagles had not received any credible offers and the understanding that if the situation changed in the future they would let him leave.

Palace's stance on that has not altered - they will reluctantly sanction Zaha's departure if the price is right, but they do not view Arsenal's bid as credible.

A key issue for Palace is the sell-on clause inserted into Zaha's contract when he returned to south London from Manchester United for around £6m in 2015, which entitles the Red Devils to 25% of any profit if Zaha exits Selhurst Park.

Although Zaha's brother has publicly pleaded with Palace to reach an agreement with Arsenal, in order for the winger to "realise his dream of playing European football for the club he has supported since childhood" - the Eagles are unmoved.
Palace believe Arsenal's method in this case is outdated and naive.

They have no intention of lowering their valuation and are confident that Zaha's relationship with the club is long-standing and strong enough to ensure he resumes his duties without a problem if a move does not come to fruition.

I am making the proposition based on us going with a mobile and fluid attack. The front three selected are players who can make pacy runs into spaces.

Onuachu and Iwobi diminishes this and will slow the set up. I feel we will excel with a more direct system.

Please stick to Super Eagles and Nigerian players-related related transfers. This is not the Ivory Coast thread or Crystal palace thread. Some of you from conversations I have been reading here are trying so hard to turn this thread to EURO league section but it ain't gonna work.

There is a reason we have a section for European league football. Merci.

Official : Ex-Liverpool Starlet Adekanye Completes Move To Lazio

Nigerian-born winger Bobby Adekanye is now officially a player of Italian Serie A club Lazio.

The Biancoceleste have already deposited the four-year contract signed by Adekanye with the Lega Serie A.

Liverpool had offered the 20-year-old a fresh deal to extend his stay at Anfield but he rejected the proposal.

Though the Netherlands U20 international trained with The Reds first team, he departs the club without making his professional debut.

He opted not to pen a new three-year contract with Liverpool after he was left out of Jurgen Klopp’s first team pre-season tour of the United States in 2018.

Adekanye previously played for the youth academies of Ajax Amsterdam, Barcelona and PSV before his move to Liverpool four years ago.

keshi team always start slowly.
his CHAN team too in 2014 started on same pace....

with those players he took to afcon... rarely would have give them a chance...

but Rohr is not tactical and does not know how to use this players...

give him Germany or even the English national team and watch him fumbles

this is the only thing ROHR is good at....
he is good in recruiting these foreign born players.....but he can't use and maximize their potentials.
we can't trust an indigenous coaches with getting this talents to play for us...
they will first go after and recruit the home based lads all because of the cuts they will get from their signings abroad....
corruption just the bane of our football

ROHR is really agbaya..

If this thread existed in 2013... These are the certain reactions/events:

- Most certainly our resident Senegalese-Ivorian, Chriskels would predict a 3-0 bashing for Keshi's Super Eagles based on how highly he rates Ivorian talents based in Europe.

- Joebie will play Mr Bonafide Realist as always and predict a loss for Nigeria without batting an eyelid. And he will say it is based on our group stage performances so far. In his own words, "We haven't played well or scored much goals".

- Darkelf will most certainly declare that we are doomed for defeat and will be waiting in a dark corner composing his latest "I TOLD YOU SO" Speech. grin

- Earthquake3 will set a bet on Nigeria losing and even go with how many goals we will concede. Lol

- Mickael2 will give tactical reasons why we stand no chance against CIV.

- Bascovanveli will predict a win for Nigeria with no logical reason and people will say he is being crazily patriotic again.

- Icon4s will remind everyone of history pointing to how Nigeria should not be underrated but won't be taken seriously.

- TheGoodJoe will propose how we can take on the Ivorians to produce a shock. He will ask for more dare and risk takings. He will propose we play Omeruo but Icon4s may feel a little uneasy about it due to the Experience talk but he will eventually concede because it would be Keshi's decision in the end.

- Seeing Sunday Mba on that Starting XI list will shock most fans and they will be like, "Is Keshi mad? Who in the hell is Sunday Mba?? In short.. we have lost!"
But they will all change mouth when Mba scores the winner later on.

- Nigeria scores for 1-0 and fans say, "Wow! Looks like we will win this if it stays like this."

- CIV equalises and fans say, "Ahhh... They have woken up! We will lose 3-1 Las Las."

- Mba scores 2-1 and Nigeria wins. Fans say, "I knew we could do it! Naija for life!"

We are a funny people my dear Jihday Sir....

Even when we discuss non-Nigerian football related topics, we do it here with an understanding and not with this silly arrogance you are displaying as if it is your right to spill whatever, whenever you feel like. Well, I am back... And such nonsense will be moderated.

Leicester City were bound to add to their squad. It does not mean doom for anyone. Competition should always be welcomed. I have hammered playing time is not paramount but Nacho understanding the system and work ethics to achieve it.

Ayoze Perez is not coming for the number 9 role but he is going to play in the other pockets of the forward line. Brendan Rodgers has hammered that Nacho is to play Vardy's role.

So relax.

Zinchenko was on the bench of City for a while but at the moment his understanding of the system of Pep is very high. He is what I will tag a tactical genius and now, Pep can hardly do without him.

If Zinchenko was killing himself for playing time, he might have left City and missed the opportunity of this growth that has made him a gem for club and Country.

Nacho should master the tactics, then give playing time a big shot. I wonder how amounts to rotting on the bench.

Iheanacho is not that young and he's on the bench with Rodgers who could not use Borini, Aspas and Luis Alberto at Liverpool
