There are far more cases of the eventual champs starting well than starting poorly. Don't also forget that the Burkina Faso we drew our first game against went all the way to the final after topping the group with 7 points. It is very unlikely that it will happen again with Madagascar

What I mean is; If we were to research cases where the eventual champions of AFCON had a poor start and compare to cases where the champion actually started well, I'm sure that the later would far outnumber the former. That's all I'm saying in essence
