Why should Rohr start Osimhen in a game of this magnitude?

Same way Icon4s of 2013 will ask a few questions due to Omeruo's youth ahead of a tie with Tournament Ultimate favs, CIV in that memorable quarter final tie....

Omeruo played the group games and was already becoming a regular. Osimhen, has not kicked a ball in this tournament. So they are two deferent scenerios

But Omeruo was still a rookie nonetheless. And he was in defence. Remember you admitted severally in times past that it is safer starting a youngster in attack than doing so in defence because defence is more about experience than just talent. You recall that Dad?

Omeruo was much involved in the friendlies during the build up to the AFCON. Plus he played all group games and had already built a synergy with Obaobona. Why should you toil with your CB pairing for a game of such magnitude?

Ighalo even despite his inconsistency in form looks more likely to deliver than an unproven Osimhen.

Yes, I would rather have a Rookie in the attack than to have him in the defense. But for a game of this magnitude no experiments please.

Osimhen is not an experiment. He is proven in Belgium already and on his way to a better league. Infact he starting will carry a bigger element of surprise that will surely stun the camerounians than an Ighalo who the Lions know too well and will look to ruffle.

Omeruo was picked ahead of Yobo Becos Keshi knew the lad could deliver. Yobo had the experience for such a game not Omeruo but Yobo was dumped to the bench. But here we have Rohr who is not as brave as Keshi was. Not giving a battle ready Osimhen time is sacrilegious. He is arguably one of the very best young strikers in Europe under 21 years.

Official : Partizan Belgrade Loan In AS Roma Striker Umar Sadiq

Serbian Super Liga side Partizan Belgrade have announced the signing of former Nigeria U23 international Umar Sadiq from AS Roma.

Sadiq has joined the eight-time league champions on a season-long loan and the agreement between Roma and Partizan Belgrade includes an option to buy the striker outright at the end of the 2019-2020 season.

The 2016 Rio Olympics bronze medalist arrived in Belgrade on Tuesday morning and has undergone a medical with the club.

So much was expected from Sadiq when he arrived at AS Roma from Spezia in 2015 but he has found it difficult breaking into the first team, making only six appearances in all competitions.

The 22-year-old is on his sixth loan spell as he was previously loaned out to Bologna, Torino, NAC Breda, Glasgow Rangers and Perugia.

Partizan Belgrade will face Beltinci FC, Olimpija, Bordeaux and Paks in pre-season games before their opening game in the Super Liga against Indija on July 19.

Bla bla bla... I know that line and have used it in debates but it is not an ultimate.

That line does not hold water for every talent.

Club and National team are two different ball games but Iheanacho was dropped despite this NT records which stand impressive till date. Why wasn't his national team showings overall able to make him break into the squad naa?

The truth is this: Rohr is scared. Osimhen is ready. Just like Iheanacho was also ready back then. Iheanacho was a rookie but didn't take time at all to make impact in the Super Eagles. So all this talk of club and NT not being the same is actually binned when it comes to some cases. It doesn't hold in all cases at all.

Yes, some deliver both at club and at the national team. But we would not want to use that Cameroon game to experiment it. That is my point.

You think Ighalo would suddenly turn a new leaf because its Cameroon?

Good point my nigga. Cameroonians will neutralize the little threat Ighalo possess.

Honestly, I am pretty done with this AFCON as regards to Eagles. The team can barely play 5 clean passes. I will take a beautiful football to winning matches any day. I dont even want Clarence Seedorf to lose to a crappy Oyibo coach. More Black Europeans should coach Super Eagles.

The Super Eagles are at a point where the only thing they have to do now is WIN. Ighalo, as the top 9, is at a point where the only thing Nigerians want to see is goals and not silly excuses as to why he cannot convert or telling us he is not getting fed enough.

Rohr learnt few lessons indeed which made us unbeaten against African teams for two years until the Madagascar tie. I wonder what new few lessons he has picked up again now. It better be for good.

There is nothing to learn sir as its not below 1998

Have you seen me arguing with anyone about super eagles of 1994 or 1998 ? I have not even start arguing about the early 2000s that's I watched

You will hardly see me involve in anything that deals with the old eagles

But I heard the commentator on the Mali vs Angola mentioned a 19yrs old and a 20yrs old on the team. And they were playing JOGA BONITO....
JOGA BONITO baba icons! Spreading passes like Barcelona but our eagles can't string 2 good passes with Mikel, Ighalo and Musa present....Let the youngsters play and learn from their mistake.

Nobody need to tell us this AFCON should be used as a building process for our youngsters.

Nwanne, to me its not just about winning. I want to see Super Eagles play good soccer game. Play like we have the quality. I dont want to see Ighalo fighting wrestling and maybe scrapped in one goal and becomes a hero...Chukwu ekwena!

I want to see them fight and bleed! I , as a man has been through a lot and there were situation when I had to resurrect the god in me and show I have something to offer. Let them play socver and stop licking from the pusssy like bunch of women.

Cameroon are the under dogs IMO. The last 3 matches we played were a combined score of 8-1.

Ighalo has scored 2 goals in 3 matches and so has Simon Moses. Mikel will be a big miss because he has been imperious against the lions 1 goal and 2 assists in 3 matches. Iwobi should be excited as he will face the team he made his international debut against.

Leon Balogun made his first appearance as a CB against Cameroon thanks to Sunday Oliseh who paired him with Efe Ambrose that night in Belgium. I think he is the only one who can man that left side as Ekong and Omeruo play on the right for club.

I don't know if that was their first game in this tournament . Besides, Mali had already secured Qualification before going into that game, so they probably thrown them in to gain match experience/exposure.

The Cameroon game is win or burst. No second chance at redemption. And besides, Rohr's job is on the line.
