This thread will be something of a diary for my car. I've always wished more people detailed their car ownership experiences online in Nigeria, so this is just an attempt to be the change I want to see. It will contain info about my more long-term gripes about the car, encounters, maintenance and fixes, expenses, etc. Basically should give anyone who's looking to buy one of the VQHR a cars a good idea of what to expect, especially since I've gotten tons of emails on updates. 14 Likes 1 Share

Car was picked up late April. About 160k miles on the odometer. As at yesterday evening, car has about 163,200 miles on it. Driven about 2300 miles in slightly over two months. Car came in with no major mechanical faults. Just bad brakes and an exhaust leak. More on the exhaust leak after. After purchase, first fix was a complete brake pad change. Calipers were also serviced. Brake discs were deemed still good enough. Fixed up the exhaust leak too. Total cost was roughly about 35k, if I recall correctly. 5 Likes 1 Share |
