ornicus:This is a dangerous argument or line of thinking, the socialism and unionization part. We shouldnt be sentimental or emotional in our decision making. Just look at the services that have been unionized. My prime example is teachers in public service, even in america, the quality of public education is shiit, and the few exceptions still dont match up to the private sector. Unionization gives too much power to employees and leads to reduced quality of output. Nigerian public teachers are probably d worst, there were some that coudnt read their credentials. And Trust politicians not to mess with unions because of votes. So unionazation is not the answer. The only fault is banks should downsize with appropriate disengagement compensation. In Other climes banks can write off 2 billion dollars to restructuring cost a year for these exercises. 1 Like |

CorperKola: you are really naive if you think the quality of public education in america is poor because of unions and not because of government neglect. unionisation protects employees from the incompetence of corporate overlords the banking industry has no respect whatsoever for its workers. they are expected to work overtime without compensation they often work for years without any form of raise or promotion, because the banks can get away with that that is partly where all the big profits those banks declare come from. if you're a corper, you will learn soon. i worked in a company where the management did their best to destroy the union, and the reasons became apparent when the company suffered mega losses due to the cowboy attitude of the executive finally coming home to roost. right in front of us, people in branches of the company that were not unionised and could thus be cheaply disposed of were let go. This after the CEO looked us in the eye in a meeting and said no one will be sacked. I witnessed same thing this year, when some non unionised people who worked under me were let go. these are people who worked on weekends, during public holidays, who were on call 24/7; people who had literally shed blood so the companies operations would not be hindered. they were paid less than 400k severance benefits for 10 years of work. all because of a misguided management decision that will still bite the company in the arse some silver spoon quota system pricks will call such people lazy drones. but those drones have given far more to the company than the jokers in the executive |

I said and I will repeat again that I cannot take a banking job even for a million naira salary. The job to me is so frustrating and time consuming. |

ornicus:You are clearly a socialist, otherwise you were born yesterday and dont know the world works If i put a billion naira down( Ignore how i got that kind of money since its very easy work and anybody can apparently pull humongrous amounts of money out of their asses) And i set up a company, my employees are more important than me and i shouldnt be in control of my company that i set up with my money. And i should rather make lossess continuosly even if cutting staff can prevent that because i am their daddy And boy o boy I jst love making lossess and losing money(losses can actually deplete ur capital) Making losses makes me jst damn hard ! Wow Wow Wow This is actually very annoying, so lemme continue Companies that repeatedly make losses also last forever into eternity so they can continue employing those needless workers that you care about, they dont fold up or go bankrupt cos this is lala land or zeeworld. Investors are also very motivated to continue pouring money into loss making or money losing business cos they get a hard on for losses just like me I may address ur other issues next time i feel like wasting my energy |

odave: Loan of how much? Maybe three months salary. It's usually not more than your severance package. So you may end up being sacked and paid and loan deducted with nothing for you. I don't advocate anyone takes loan. |

annawhite: Oh! I guess you might continue to ask till I notice and address a female Monika. Lol! For the question, we are considering various staff involved now, the branch I visited customer care rep who forgot to process the form, the central branch help desk who refused to do the tracking from Lag and the twitter handler who promised to follow up for a call back of fund but didn't deliver and stoped responding.. How many staff's carelessness does it take for a customer to loose his or her entire life earning or go bankrupt? Meanwhile, u got a good packaging there.. Lovely weavon and creative makeup.. Keep it up |
