Congratulations. Nice one.

Please need some insight from your experience. Submitted since 2 May 2019 and got 221g letter on 20 June 2019 and since then no date for 221g interview date. I have called and sent email reminders to no avail.

Questions:

1. How were you able to get your interview date after receipt of 221g letter? Was it scheduled via your account on www.ustraveldocs.com or by email or by phone?

2. How come it took that long from mid June to get an interview date of July 2019. Thought 221g interviews are given priority for example last 221g interview date for my spouse was 48hours after receipt of 221g letter.

Please share.

Thanks a lot

How much was your total bill and the hospital charges itself?

Thank you.

Good Evening Fam,

Kudos to all the members of this group, always dishing out very helpful info. I salute!

Pls I need help!....I went for renewal of my visa sometime in May, but was denied. The consular asked how much I paid for my previous delivery and I told him (about 4K). This was cos my hospital gave lots of discounts- 45% for self pay and another 30% for prompt pay. The officer kept typing God knows what and then said I didn’t qualify.

Now I reapplied after 2 months and went back for interview yesterday. My transcript reads:::
Me: Gd mrrg
VO: Gd mrrg, why do you want to travel to the US?
Me: I will like to have my baby
VO: ohhh, when is your due date? (Sounded quite pleasant)
Me: xxxx
VO: (opens my profile in her system) have you paid more money for the previous treatment you received?
Me: I paid all my bills before leaving the US, I have all my zero balances
VO: thank you pls go(hands me the yellow paper)

Hmmmm, house pls how am I supposed to pay the hospital more Money when I don’t owe anything?

I called the hospital immediately and they confirmed I have zero balance for everything. They even sent me their hospital policy that sates the discounts that must be given to all patients ( cos I asked them to give me another bill without any form of discount so I can
pay all).

Pls I need advise. What do I do from here? Cos it seems I may not be able to renew my visa till I do something about the bills.

Greetings everyone,

Would like to give a positive feedback.

So, I submitted my passport for renewal(dropbox) on April 29 and visa was granted July 12. It took a total of 10 weeks

Having read so many recent transcripts about 221g and subsequent denial after birthing in the U.S, I dreaded the trending 221g and Im so happy to have scaled it this time. I got one in 2017, was later refused but re- applied 2 weeks after and got it.

Although, the dropbox has now been cancelled, In my own opinion, I feel you can increase your chances for a successful visa renewal if you also go for vacations in other countries, that way you don't sound like you cannot afford any foreign trips or you are looking to cheat the system.

I paid less than 10k for my last birth. Previous one was even way cheaper and both were through CS. I mean if I want to purchase a good for 100 naira and another person is offering me fifty naira for same quality, why will I for heaven's sake decide to pay 100 naira when I can use the balance for something else. I have never received any public fund or medicaid but I've been able to convince the V.O that I will never in anyway abuse my visa.

I spent 2 months when I went for childbirth in 2017 as stated in my application and have also gone back to the states on 2 other occasions for 2 weeks in 2018 and another again earlier this year.

Also within that 2 year period, I visited the U.k and France.

In all, don't forget the power of prayers. It works wonders as long as you're doing the right thing. Even God wants honesty.

Good luck to others.

Call the hospital and pay up the balance to a total of 10k. the VO knows the average cost of delivery in the area should not be as low as 4k. they frown greatly at discounts.

I know it's not your fault. the hospital offered you a package and you went with it. but now the people who can grant a visa are saying irrespective of how nice a hospital is, you cannot pay Less than 10k (roughly around that. I have seen someone that has gotten a visa with an 8k bill).

Good morning,
After getting a visa, is it compulsory to give birth at the same state and hospital that the doctor correspondence was used in getting the visa.

For your own sake, as you might have used the doctor's details in your application. Remember, you might have quoted him and the hospital during your application and interview: Remember the future.

Exactly what folmus said...

Just go where you said you were going at your interview (doctor and state).

Hello house , please I have been experiencing error message while scheduling 221g interview? Please who knows how I can go about this. I have sent emails and gotten feedback that it has been resolved but still cant book for my 221g interview.

You don't need to pay to get doctors correspondence. I contacted the hospitals as an international patient and made enquiry. Then you take it from there registration and all.

Lol! You are “choosing” a hospital based on who will give you a free letter, or you are lying on your application, or both.

This is an example of why people no longer post their success stories but later see them posting that they are returning from the US. Its people that abuse the system and cut corners as yourself that have made it more difficult for other Nigerians. In this case by never intending to arrive to the hospital that gives you the free letter which in the end may be a lot more expensive, or by lying to the officer by saying you intend on going to a hospital you know nothing about and chose solely on the premise that they were still naive enough to still give a letter to someone that doesnt intend to visit them, therefore, making this hospital charge for this as well, as most do.

God help our country and our people who think for no one but themselfs.
