eliok: You publish a book under the keyword. If a keyword has good demand and you've validated that people actually pay for the information then you proceed to make a book under that keyword knowing people will pay for it...if you execute other parts well (good content, good description, good exposure etc.) |

On Target For Another $10,000+ Month It's been a very busy and stressful month for me..between helping students get their books published to getting a couple of mine published as well. All in all, I can't complain. In this business, you have to continually keep moving forward or you'll regress. The month of July has been going well for me (particularly with regards to paperback sales).. a number of strategic changes I made a few months ago are really beginning to pay off and it feels good I must admit. I think I will have a record month for paperback sales, I've had 17+ consecutive days of selling more than 20 paperbacks a day. My focus right now is on feeding this beast..making sure the momentum continues until I can get to $10,000 with just ebook and paperbacks sales (excluding audiobooks). Why Only A Few Succeed I'm sure you all know of the Pareto principle that states that 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts. In life, 80% of the world riches is controlled by 20% of people on earth. Likewise, in publishing, 80% of the money is made by only a handful of people. Given that I currently network and mastermind with a lot of these people doing $100,000+ a year with their publishing business, I can tell you one thing they all have in common - they have the courage to spend a lot of money to educate themselves. As a result, they are able to gain access to privileged knowledge and a closed (somewhat secretive) group of publishers who are on an entirely different level with their business. This causes them to level up..change their mindset and push the boundaries of what they believe they can achieve. A lot of what I have achieved today was because of the influence these people had on me...a few years back I would never have believed that it was possible to make $1000 online..much less $10,000 in a month. However, I can tell you that I know colleagues that make $30,000 per month with publishing so compared to them I'm making peanuts...but those are the people I choose to associate with because they motivate and inspire me. I paid the price to gain access to these group of people and I've reaped the reward. Make no mistakes about it, massive success follows the courage to take a risk. The Importance Of Trust In Business A lot of things happen online that have tainted the reputation of many. People get scammed, duped and what not. Is it worth it? I think not. Not when you consider the value of future business you could have done with such people...or how they could have helped promote you and your brand just based on how you treated them with integrity and respect. I deal with many of my freelancers in this manner. Initially, we relied on platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, ACX etc to police the transactions between us. Over time, I built a rapport with them and they began to trust me. Fast-forward a few years now and we deal directly with each other without relying on any platform as a third party Why do they feel comfortable with this? Because they know what I am about. Some have even offered to do things for free just out of appreciation. I implore you to consider the value of your reputation when dealing with people. Let your yes be a yes and your no be a no. Deal with people fairly (pay them on time and what you both agreed on) and they in turn will have your back when you least expect it. |
