Good evening house.
Please what option does one have if he can't find his visa application submission slip. I lost it, it's a very long and sad story. I have a scanned copy though and other identity documents like my national ID card and my expired passport which has an expired SA visa on it. Please I look forward to your kind contributions.

Calvary greetings to you all on this thread, and to everyone that’s being of great help on this thread. I am saying well done, God will continue to make way where there seems to be no way in you guys life. I would be applying for a visit visa next month and am not ready to give a dime to any agents as I have seen testimonies of how people are doing it here on their own.

Am going to see a South African friend that’s a senior lawyer and have some nice time. I planned spending 21days, and I hope that’s not too much for a visit? I have made my hotel reservation and will make my ticket reservation soon. I would like some things to be clarified for me please.

1. Do my host need to write a letter of Invitation on my behalf? Or i should just neglect that aspect?

2. If 1 is compulsory will I still need to present my own bank statement?

3. Can i use my Corporate account(Business Account) instead of my Savings account?

4. Can I print out my statement of account for 6 months instead of the 3 months stated?

5. If I am using my Corporate account(Business Account) Do I need to add my CAC Certificate to the document required?

6. Should i make part payment of my hotel booking, so as to boost my chances of getting the visa? I hope this is not a bad idea or does it look like a show of desperation?

I will be glad if I can get a response soon, thanks.

Please how do I appeal?

.Send an email to saqa stating clearly that your program was 5years and doing this period you did a lot of practicals . Hence you strongly believe that the evaluation was not properly done and you appeal for review because you need it correct evaluation to facilitate your admission . customercare@saqa.org.za or saqainfo@saqa.org.za

Your host do not need to write letter of invitation but if he decides or you want him to write the letter must be certified and his bank statement and proof of residence must be attached since he is inviting you . But as same time you can decide to apply without his invitation using your bank account and making payment for one night hotel but book 14days .

1. If your host is in good stance, he can send you an invitation letter, his bank statement , international passport, SA legal docs, accommodation agreement and other documents but he needs to certify alot of these documents before sending them down to you. If he can do this then you don't need to book and hotel.

2. Even if he's sending you all those documents, yes you need to include your bank statement and introduction letter from your work place, if you are self employed you need to show CAC docs.

3. You should use both if your signatory to those accounts.

4. Either 3 or 6 months is fine.

5. Yes. Except you are working with someone otherwise, all ur company docs must be submitted and they must be certified.

6. It's advisable that you make part hotel booking payment before submitting your app if no one is inviting you from SA. 2 to 3 days is okay since you are staying like 21 days.

Good morning,

Please do we have anyone here who has been to SA before or has travelled to US, UK & Canada before yet his application is taking longer than 3 weeks? Either student Visa or tourist. I will appreciate reply please. I'm try to evaluate some stuff before putting in some applications.

I applied for a family friend in lagos 3 weeks ago and she collected her passport with 3 months visa yesterday. She is going to visit her son who is a citizen overthere and she is 50yrs and above, she has not been to even Ghana before so we submitted virgin passport.

A Google search I made for the following questions directed me to this your post. This is a January 2018 post it's possible that laws could have changed. The way you answered the question showed you are quite knowledgeable on the matter and it made Google to put your post on the first page of search results. So I decided to quote you and ask you a few questions.

These are the questions;

1. Is a Nigerian citizen (man) on a tourist visa allowed to get married to a South African citizen (woman) in South Africa?

2. If the answer to question 1 is Yes, after the marriage can the man apply for a temporary residence permit in South Africa or must he return to Nigeria to apply for it?

3. If the answer to question 1 is No, in what way can a Nigerian man get married to his South African fiancee and move to South Africa without breaking either Nigerian or South African law?

Thank you.

I am just seeing that @ Manager007 was last seen on nairaland on December 7, 2018. So he has obviously not seen my post. Please can any Nigerian living in South Africa help me with the answers to the 3 questions? Thank you.

Short answers

1. Yes

2. Return to Nigeria to apply for Spousal Visa

3.You can't change status on a visitors visa hence the reason for number 2.

Hope this helps.

My people, is it compulsory to include South African Airways as the proposed flight itinerary for their Visa?

The price is higher compared to Ethiopian Airways.

Your response is highly solicited on this.

Make a reservation on South African Airways. You don’t have to pay for it. You can fly your preferred Airline once the visa is issued. Just to be on a safer side, you should make your reservation on South Africans Airways.

You need to book an appointment before submission. If you are lucky enough VFS can assist you via email, if not you need to go to their office with your passport datapage. I was at their office on July 15 and the submission date is August 14. So long a time.
thanks alot.....sorry for late reply.....is there any other thing you feel i should know....cause i have no idea what am doing.....I'll really appreciate.....am still yet to book hotel and flight
