Can someone really do answer me!

I need some assistance maybe a sample of a cover letter to add to my documents for submission please!

And I need clarification:
Is letter of Introduction, letter of intent and cover letter are they all thesame?

Or are they different letters or one is contained in the other?

Please your feedback is vital and greatly appreciated.

They're not the same thing. Letter of introduction is to be given you by your employer while cover letter is to state what you think ECO should know about, maybe your travel plan or you want to explain some funds that's not your salary.

Check google for template

Oh thanks for responding.. I do appreciate

I did Google n saw but I need to be sure the heading to be given to the letter, that's the one that would introduce you, what you going to do in UK, how much you have in your account...etc

N when I googled, I saw "letter of intent" has same content as that of cover letter.. So it's kinda...

So please what exactly is needed or should b d lawyer heading n content?

Thanks bro

There's no specific way to write a cover letter, just simple English that the entry clearance officer will understand. Go straight to the point n detail everything you want Eco to know. That's all.

anything you want to call it, call it.... just make sure you write a letter and explain everything you want to explain about the visa application you are tendering to the visa officer as you won’t see him/her face to face when your application is been assessed.. stop waiting for anyone to come and give you sample letter so that you dont waste your precious time

Pls house, a little clarification is needed. I was refused Canada Visa for misinterpretation. I have learnt my lesson the hard way never to use agents for application. How does this affect my application for a UK Visa. Though I declared I was refused Canada visa in my application.

You should expect that there will be questions around your refusal and you must be prepared to give an explanation backed up with the any written evidence you think it was a misinterpretation.

Secondly, you must state clearly the reasons why you want to come to the UK. If you are coming on holidays, then it may be hard to prove that you are a genuine holiday maker. The ECO may presume you are desperate to leave Nigeria.

Also, you should allow a time period of 8-10 months between when you were refused and when you make an application to the UK. Have supporting evidence of what you have be doing in that period and make sure you have ties that you do not wish to abandon in Nigeria.

I always tell people to think like the ECO.... scrutinize your documents, ask yourself questions and be convinced that you have provided adequate explanation where necessary.

Use authentic documents only .... you are good to go.

I applied for a short term study visa but when i got my passport back, the visa type read C-Visit. I assume it should say student. I've called UKVI and sent emails but the best response i've gotten is that they'll reply in 15 days which isn't good for me as my program starts in a week. Do i cancel my trip and my program and wait for them to verify if its the right one or not or do i carry on with my travel plans and present all application form showing the class i applied for when i arrive the uk?

What is the duration of your course? Category "C" visa applies to all short term visas (visitors and students on short term courses).
You will find more info here: https://www.gov.uk/study-visit-visa

Travelcard is the one with a weekly offer according to zones right? And it's cheaper for getting around for a week visit?

Is it called a cover letter or introduction letter or intent letter or are they different letters?

Hello!! Still awaiting your response!

And for someone who has his international passport stolen but he has not used it to travel before and no travelling experience on it. What should he tick in his application here?

Please do help respond to these questions thanks.

I think the answer is no as the passport doesn't have a visa ans you don't even have access to it again.

Hello house, I bring good news. My mum and brother just got their visit visa valid for 6 months cheesy. My mum is retired and self-employed, this will be her 2nd time visiting the UK. While my brother has 2 years work experience in IT but no travel history and first time applying for any visa.
I put a budget of 3K for 2-weeks stay for both of them (fully sponsored by me).

Timeline (Standard): TLS Lagos VI
20th June: Submitted online application (document self-upload)
26th June: Biometrics
18th July: Call from UKVI (asked if I was inviting anyone and how long they are staying, if I am fully sponsoring and how much, my brother's job title and company he works for, my immigration status in the UK and my job title...I think that was all)
19th July: Received email stating 'Application Concluded'
23rd July: Passport ready for pickup
Picked up passports same day with both visas approved

These are the documents we submitted with their application:

Mine:
1. Invitation Letter for both of them (electronic copy with a scanned picture of my signature)
2. Copy of BRP and my passport data page
3. Tenancy agreement (scanned copy with signatures)
4. 6-months payslip (e-copy)
5. 6-months bank statement salary account (downloaded from my online account with no bank stamp)

Mum:
1. Cover letter - highlighted my mum's sources of income, she collects pension and is also self-employed. I also highlighted how much she has currently in her savings)
2. Copy of previous UK visa
3. Company CAC certificate
4. Pension Letter
5. C of O of residential house
6. Land C of O
7. 6-months bank statement (the one that her pension and income from her business comes into)
8. Excel table explaining deposits into her account, with 4 columns - Date, Amount, Sender and Purpose of transfer (we highlighted any inflow greater than 50K)

Brother:
1. Cover letter - highlighted his job, how much he earns and how much he currently has in his savings)
2. HR Letter of introduction
3. Work Offer Letter
4. Work ID card
5. 6-months payslips
6. 6-months bank statement (both salary and savings accounts)
7. Excel table explaining deposits into his account, with 4 columns - Date, Amount, Sender and Purpose of transfer(we highlighted any inflow greater than 50K)
*I was a bit worried about the fact that we didn't include tenancy agreement for my brother because he shares a flat with his colleague and his name is not on the agreement but thank God that it didn't seem to matter. We didn't include tax cards either.

Thanks to everyone who contributes here, especially to giselle237 & MadameW for taking the time to answer my questions. God bless you all!

Congrats. Happy news. One thing with UK if your application is straight forward u will be given visa. Congrats to y family. Moreso for the tax card no worries provided your brother pay slips are showing tax deduction, so that is why ECO no worry of tax card

Good all@ Justwise and other.

.I am widow with to 2kids, will like to go on vacation with my kids to UK .I am scared to state am a widow so it wont look like am running away .

Do i travel alone to show am coming back. I am gainfully employed with the federal govt.

I have all the document to prove i can travel and come back. I have never travel before OR do i apply for the three of us.

please I need your advice

Please ma be honest in your application I beg you in the name of God. There is nothing like telling the truth in visa applications. Click on the widow button on the application when asked. U can never be refuse a UK visa bc u are a widow and beside if you give the ECO genuine reason of traveling and convince him that you will definitely return back to your home after your vacation is over I don't see reason ECO will refuse u visa. If you meet all their UK immigration requirements and rules for tourist visa you will be given visa.

Since you have a stable job and sufficient income to travel weigh your salary, buget and income in y account, if is very sufficient for three of u to travel no worries, but if it is not just travel alone.

your job is your tie and if you have asset u can also include it as tie. All you need to do is to explain to ECO that you have a strong tie which is your job and your family, that you can not abandon your job and family to choose to be illegal immigrant in the UK. Just convince the ECO why you are a genuine traveller only seeking entry as a visitor. More so you can attach any proof to show y husband is late. All the best

Be honest, prepare and present good application, don't try and hide information or lie in application. You will be given a visa if you meet the requirements
