Is the tracking on vfs any good ? Other than letting you know when your application was forwarded
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Pelumos(m): 5:56pm On Jul 31, 2019
Please how do people know that their documents have been forwarded. The vfs website is asking me to enter a reference number and my date of birth. i have tried using my application number but its not working and i submitted over a week ago

On the slip you were given after payment at vfs, there's a reference number starting with 'IEAJ' if you submitted in Abuja of 'IELG' if you submitted in Lagos. That's your reference number.
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Tikaton:
All the 11th June that applied from lagos should note that the embassy received it, probably, the following week.

How would one then know when his/her passport would be delivered so you make yourself available.

Thanks. I should expect that my would have been delivered as more often than not they always get delivered to the embassy the next day or two

Mine was delivered at my office. So the courier guy came during working hours and dropped it . I used my office address as place of mail delivery.
