Going straight to the point: I am of the opinion that false rape accusers should serve the same prison sentence as the alleged rapist, if the rapist was found guilt. i.e Mrs T accuses Mr F of rape, If Mr F were found guilty he is to be sentenced to 6 years in prison but if evidence proves Mrs T accusations to be false. Mrs F should go to prison for 6 years. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/07/28/cyprus-police-arrest-british-woman-rape-claim-accused-israeli/amp/ Recently 12 Israeli teens were accused of rape by a british woman. Of course public opinion was in her favour as people already started condemning the boys without even knowing what transpired. The identity of the boys was already known by some people. In a place like Isreal a bad name is one of the worst things that can happen to someone in their immediate locality. In the minds of these people, these boys would still be rapist even after being proven innocent. Fast forward to the investigation, it turned out the woman has given her consent to sex (she wasn’t under any influence while making this decision). DNA showed some of the boys weren’t even in that hotel room. Then she started changing her story. Lets not forget that rape is not particularly to a specific gender. In my opinion rape cases with men as victims are mostly unreported nevertheless rape is rape and scars its victims so false accusation of rape should be treated with the same weight of the law as a proven rape case. I don’t think my opinion is extreme, What is your take on this? 2 Likes |

Actually many women end up in jail for such false rape accusations..... |

MrBrownJay1:I won’t say “many”. The defendant has to have a really good lawyer so the case gets thrown out, at most the false accusers gets sentences as short as 1 year. I am advocating for longer prison sentences. If possible as long as the sentence to be given a convicted rapist. |

SoftBall:As much as they need a harsh sentence, there is a huge difference between false rape accusation to actual rape. These are two different crimes. Also, many get away with rape with "good lawyers" too |

MrBrownJay1:True but the increasing number of false accusations is that a reflection of how people take it with such levity because good number of times the false accuser get away with no prison time. Whereas they are making the case of the real victims more difficult to prove. Make real victims afraid to step forward because they think nobody would believe them. Lets not forget that a substantial number of years of the defendant’s life hangs in balance if the defendant is unable to prove their innocence. |

If a man is wrongfully accused of rape and proves his innocence in court... then it's up to him to file charges against the accuser..... false claims... defamation of character... emotional trauma... and a whole long list... then the financial compensation.. that can make her broke for life.. |

ubunja:As in. Man can't even invite a girl for a sleep over or a brief visit. When, for your safety, you demand that only boys are allowed to enter your house and visit you, people will scream "you are a misogynist..." The same thing when you refuse to give any female a ride but these are the same people that will call you a rapist without evidence when a girl falsely accuses you of rape. I am just tired of simps and h0es.

Its only people that have money to spare that prosecute these False accusers. In the UK the verdict for false rape accusations is not usually disclosed, there has no precedence for a high-handed punishment which is much need if you ask me. An increasing number of people lacking brain matter have started taking it for granted because they feel public opinion would always be on their side. Which is true, most members of the public just condemn the alleged rapist without even any evidence. It took so long to get rape victims to start speaking up as with everything good thing idiots come in to spoil. Just watch as rape laws start getting stretched ie “lif the victim moans no rape has occurred”  |

Even in Nigeria here, people do the stupidest things for clout. I am sure you all remember “Berger to Ajah” story as at last year. The babe literally accused the guy of raping her, only for the guy to produce evidence he was using his laptop and totally ignored her (probably because she was ugly). The pained babe started adjusting her story that she didn’t really mean “rape”.... . Then “The Taxify rapist”, this one was more annoying as many of our so celebs that are lacking in brain matter throw their weight behind the accuser even without any evidence. Only for us to discover they had a small disagreement about the trip, the driver canceled telling her he is not interested in going again which lead to exchange of insults (witnesses were present) and then she came online to accuse him of rape. Now even if he didn’t do it he is forever “The Taxify Rapist”. These idiots are walking scout free without any repercussions but i beg to differ. There should be strong repercussions that outweigh the clout they are seeeking. |
