If you are undocumented immigrant, or your permit is about to expire or has expired..please try to regularise your documents. There is mass arrest of foreigners especially is Johannesburg metros and CBD...You can do yourself a favor by avoiding such places for now and ensure your papers are with you. Home affairs will start verifications of those arrested. The objective is to deport as many as possible. For those planning to come here for a long stay, please avoid avoid tourist visa, it will land you in trouble. Ensure you apply for proper long stay visa categories. Thank you

Good Day all, i tried to summit my documents for critical skills visa today at VFS Abj, and was told i needed employment letter from an employer in SA. I argued that it doesnt say so in the requirements online, but my application documents was returned back to me. I want to enquire if its a new regulation for issue of CSV?.
Thanks

Hello House,

Please has anyone ever used the VIP section to apply for SA visa application. Does it have positive influence of the processing time?

Having provided every required sponsorship document for my study visa, I got denied stating that "no evidence that the sponsor will continue to support".

Please help demystify that statement.

I assume the sponsor did not transfer the money into your own account? If that is the case, then maybe, just maybe that was why you were refused the visa. I may be wrong though.

Ordinarily you do not need an employment letter from an employer in SA to apply for CSV for a one year visa. Employment letter is only required for a 5 years CSV. As long as you have the necessary skills or qualifications required http://www.dha.gov.za/images/immigration_critical_skills.pdf

I really dont know why they didnt allow you submit your application. Atleast they will collect their own money and leave you with the Embassy to decide whether you qualify or not.

The Consular,
South Africa Commission
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Viquetohr: 3:38pm On Aug 08, 2019
If that could be true, why wasn't it specifically stated in the requirement. Here's the requirement for sponsorship: "Sponsored trips should always have a letter with full details of the sponsor and contact details as well as a copy of identity card/passport data page"

They wont tell you that bro. Though i am not 100% sure that was what happened, i only said that cos that is what most embassies expect you to do to show commitment. Think about it yourself.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Viquetohr: 3:50pm On Aug 08, 2019
Having the money transferred into my own account shouldn't be the evidence of continued sponsorship, as there's a possibility that the money can be tampered with soon after. That evidence could only be confirmed at the Airport Point of Entry.

In the sponsorship letter, did your sponsor state that he will cover any cost that may arise from your stay including the medical insurance?

It should not but look at these 2 scenarios and tell me which you think is more logical and probably acceptable to a VO....

1. I said i am your sponsor and gave you my bank statement to show i have the money to sponsor you.

2. I said i am your sponsor and i trust you enough to send MY money into YOUR account to PROVE i am actually sponsoring you.

Like i said, i might be wrong.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Viquetohr: 4:13pm On Aug 08, 2019
Yes. It was stated, and of course the money was more than enough.

Thank you for your honest contributions. But that to me is not convincing enough.

The only thing I could think of is that they contacted your sponsor but he didn't respond.

Transferring the money to your bank account is not the reason... That's why they demanded for his account details and not yours

And please how were you contacted? And the content of the message... Just asking so I'll know when I'm contacted what to expect. Thanks a lot.

And please I advise that you get appropriate info concerning your application before reapplying.
