If your occupation is skill level 1 and your university is a 'tier 2', with VETASSES, assessment will be negative. ACS can give you positive assessment provided you have at least 5 years experience to be used in lieu of qualification. This is because tier 2 qualification will likely be assessed as AQF associate degree which is below a skill level 1, AQF Bachelor degree.

Your occupation is on their skills shortage list, hence, there have to be jobs available right there.
Go and read up on the process and if you think you're ready, step up to Engineers Australia (they are your number one obstacle)

No, all 5 year courses are automatically assessed as AQF Bachelor. However, the complication come if the course is 4 years. That's when tier 1 or 2 comes in.

4 year course in UNILORIN equates AQF associate degree.

It is either you do a Masters degree or nominate chemistry technician if it will be sponsoredd by any state when you are ready.

Actually, no state is nominating geologist at the moment. I will advice you nominate earth science technician. It is a skill level 2 occupation and can accommodate the associate degree VETASSES will equate your degree to.

Canada should be your first choice for ease of migration. You don't need to go through registration process in Canada before migration which is required in Australia.

You have to read the requirements for optometrist.

Good morning house.

I don't really understand this aussie immigration even after reading up,hence my question.

I studied industrial chemistry from Madonna university and i currently work as a Quality control chemist for 6 years now- will vetassess count it a positive?

I calculated my score with visa class 189 and i had 70- am a bit confused as to what line of action to follow next

Will i also assess my hubby qualification too? He studied agricultural engineering and has been working as a project manager in a food company for 13yrs+

I will appreciate any pointers pls

Hi Bellong and all, please help. I intend to pay back taxes for 4 years because my former company never remitted and they're not ready to do it. The records will all carry the date of which I paid, hence showing I haven't been paying them yearly.

My question is would this been an issue with DHA? Has anyone done this and had successful visa approval? Thoughts please, thank you.

What was your BS.c major. was it also in environmental engineering, i think the occupation you are applying for has to tally with your BS.c major for Australia sha as they do not assess MSc, VETASS clearly stated it above; the field must be highly relevant with a relevant occupation. It is risky but you can try. Just ensure you ask properly if anyone has done and gotten positive assessment before makin any investment.
Also my brother you have Masters why not try Canada while you are hoping on this australia one.

Bros, sorry bump in this but I am also stuck in this same matter. My major is Mechanical Engineering and i don't think it relates to Occupational Health and Safety, i have NEBOSH IGC not the diploma and ISO certifications. Do i stand a chance to get positive feedback from VETASSES?

If you assessed with VETASSES and one year was cut off from your experience, could you please contact me.

A friend is challenging immigration decision at the Federal Circuit Court which also includes VETASSES. To add to the weight of his case, we need more people VETASSES reduced their years of post-qualification experience.

Thank you.
This is good. Everyone that went through Vetassess got at least 1 year deducted. Mine was deducted too, I guess it's their standard.

I have sent the tax statement from the tax website portal. They also do not issue receipts to individuals that had their tax remmitted by their companies...

Guess you have to take it up with your assessor then. If you have submitted the tax statement issued by the LIRS online service staff, then it shouldn't be a problem. You could also attach the mail that was sent to you by LIRS containing the statement

Which assessing body do you want to assess with cos this may not only be a DHA issue?

Madonna university is a tier 2 University and you course is also a 4 year course, so any occupation you want to nominate should be a level 2 occupation.
Which occupation have you decided to nominate?

For your hubby, check the tasks for 'Program or Project Administrator', do these tasks relate to what he does? You may also review the occupation lists to check the occupation that best suits you and your hubby.

One thing about Vetassess is that even if your degree is not highly relevant, your years of experience will be reduced in lieu of the qualification. Since you did a 5 year course, you will only lose at least 3 years of experience as long as your job descriptions of the occupation you are nominating are well aligned to what Vetassess wants.

If your job descriptions do not tally with what they want, coupled with a non-relevant degree, that's an automatic negative. If you have more than 4 years experience, please give it a shot.

If that's the case, you can't apply for Chemist. You may want to check Chemistry technician though it's currently out of nomination until November if the states update their occupation list.
