Well, you gave permission to Google at some point to store that data.

You can create security to make your passwords only visible when you use a password/fingerprint or you can choose to erase those data.

Jacinthe:

Nope, you don't seem to understand.

What I mean is, a list of all saved passwords for different platforms. This time, visible to you AND others who stumble on where they are listed that way.

Quite unfortunate!! Fraud does not pay
Be very careful what you post online. Everyone can be found, VPN or not. As I type, my IP address and location within a 5mile radius has been recorded. My nairaland ID linked with my email has been recorded. With one click, my digital foot print for the past 10years can be unlocked within 180seconds.
However, if you know, you Know. grin

EFCC can never catch this type, all they do is look for boys with dread locks and jeans to arrest.

Bro, cookie is a different thing.. I agree with the other guy saying socks. I only relating to how he was caught. Google has the IP address of every device interacting with their server. All they need was the log of that particular email. Cookie encrypted or not, IP will reflect. It's even better to encrypt his email using a public key. Or better still why must he use Gmail as his phishing email.. The report said they found an invoice of domain names that he used to host phishing pages. He could have simply hosted a mail server on his domain and encrypt it.

The guy was just careless and lack basic anonymity skills. I'm not into crime but if today I'm to go into it, I know how to save myself. And damn $12,000,000 c'mon, you will have law enforcement in your ass.. He won't even spend $5,000 to stay completely off grid

That's true..
12 Milla dollars will have the feds knocking.
That's much..

That's much as fuccc.

He should av even used an encrypted mail provider like ProtonMail self and a bulletproof Web host with bitcoins accepted payments.

I wish DSS/NIA can start picking all the bigots and people who make unguarded comments and hate speeches on this forum one after the other.

Nairaland is not a faceless forum so therefore use your head before you comment.

Nwamaikepee and the rest who always make unguarded comments just to get likes should think twice before they write comments here.

Honestly DSS/NIA really need to go and learn from this oyinbo on intelligence gathering.

What happened to freedom of speech? Last time I checked this is democracy. I remember how many Apc members insulted Jonathan and his wife now the hypocritics are crying foul. Don’t dish out what u can’t take shud be the lesson for Apc.

Many of the people criticizing Buhari did so to Jonathan and were not gagged. This is democracy!

another secret FBI can track u with. if your nairaland email is obi59@gmail.com and you decide that you want a new life just the fact that obi59 is connected to anything in this world even your 2go account, they are willing to go that extent of checking it out.

i once tried to do Yahoo but i could not, the Philippines woman i caught was poor and was a maid in singapore who had been there for 10years the year i connected to her was the day she was to retire so i knew she had a bulk of savings on her. Me trying to play her, she had already fallen but i just didn't have the guts to send that account number, i just couldn't do that to a human being, i got angry exposed my identity warned her to vw careful and deactivated everything to the scratch.

Abeg clap for oyinbo. Not the useless EFCC that would raid hotels, night clubs, and neighbourhoods arresting random people who 'look' like yahoo boys. EFCC with zero intelligence, investigation, and hard work. They just do gra gra and infringe on rights and look for how to enrich themselves. Useless bastards in ugly red jackets. Incompetent fools employed through the usual Naija corrupt 'man know man' and 'quota system' protocol.

See as FBI take time, siddon well gather incontrovertible evidence in the spirit of guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Beyond deploying technology, they also deployed serious hard work, dedication to duty, meticulousness, and intelligence. Abeg clap for Oyinbo.

Let's give credit to those who deserve it. I've seen EFCC at work when they were investigating someone I knew, their mode of operation is not different from what we read here. But take a look at our judiciary, they freed James Ibori with tons of hard evidence provided against him by the EFCC but the same Ibori was convicted in UK based on a mere circumstantial evidence.

Bros, say bye bye to any dream of going to the USA with this comment of yours. What folks don't know is that Nigeria is in the eye of the feds. Your comment is filled with keywords which AI alogrithm would pick up and beam up. Careless making such comment in a public forum that lacks basic encryption.

What most illegal peeps don't understand is that Forbes is the carrot that lures the rat to the stick. They succeeded with Escobar, El chapo, now this guy. And they will continue because an average illegal fool wants the whole world to know he has broken out a poverty.
