You have been saying that for the longest time, you said that when you and others join the fence .. You said Ehailing was dead when you Join the fence, you said the fares will continue to drop and rental will drop to 25k or even lower .. But uber starting doing their 3% commission after 15 trips prom. Correct me if am wrong uber is now 3% commission for a week after doing 15 trips.. Meaning once u finish your 15 trips for the week ,the next following week is all 3% commission.. Correct me if am wrong..
My point to you is that it is hard to predict the future .. You can only try and prepare.. How many are prepare for the future? In other to prepare for the future you have to make changes and think outside the box ...

Ps ..remember when hybrids cars came out? People were saying that was the future ? Than what happened ? Car companies started building hybrid cars.. How far did that go ? Than Telsa came along with electric cars and Telsa was worth more the General Motors the largest car company in the world.. What happened to Telsa now ? It is hard to predict the future, some predictions are just smoke without aggressive changes.

In comparison, there are presently more owner drivers than rental drivers (using this thread as a yardstick). Do not be scared there will always be someone to rent your vehicles.

Bro no be fight, rental was once 35 and same was said concerning those who were doing 30. You can't fight it, it's not a matter of being a good investor. It started from 60 to 50 to 40 and so forth in fact like I said a lot of people realized it was not what they thought and it's still happening
The same Bill gate that insisted he wasn't doing 30k rentals is now on 30k.
Bolt's advertisement should help in interpreting the current situation. It was "you can make 400k a month/120k weekly", but their advert is all over the the place with " you CAN make 90k weekly NOT you WILL make 90k weekly". That is to say that there are drivers that can over work by sleeping on chevron drive, admiralty, Providence...
The fact is that as long as it gets saturated, expect it to get worse.

That's the word on the street, but the car owners on this thread always feel threatened whenever you are trying to be realistic here.
Anyways the Egbon have to protect his investment

25k weekly rental will only make sense from an investor perspective if d driver takes care of maintenance which in most cases would not be done promptly as it should be....also if...

1. car owner is naive....thinking a lower rental would safe the car from abuse...10k rental would not stop a bad driver from assaulting ur car....

2. car is problematic....driver does one day on...one day off....

3.. owner makes use of car few days within the week..
4...car is not Corolla....a cheap car should go lower...

Truth is that the market is over subscribed with drivers everywhere....but a driver should make at least 7 to 10k daily if u are experienced enough....on the average...a driver should make 60 to 70k weekly....
Now when he deducts fuel cost, data, toll, etc...he is left with little....
This is the reality.......but it isn't the owners fault....it is the reality...which drivers should live with till hopefully things change...

Askin owners to further lower the rent to accommodate the reality is unfair....as it takes years to even recoup your money...(if u ever will)..

Most drivers have to wake up to reality....and be prudent in their responsibilities...driving a car doesn't mean u have arrived....a driver I know is in the habit of ordering taxify for his girlfriends and he keeps changing cars monthly...

Listen to the newbies........Your monthly take home on this hustle is.....50k to 80k excluding transport....simple
One of the most reasonable assessments on this thread... Thanks for this wonderful insight

Egbon dem. Make una die this matter. The fightnis against making earns no be brawl. Las las everyone go dey all right if we learn to respect peoples opinions and don't call them names because they didn't share our own.

Don't be marvelled to hear somebody in this Lagos still pays 40k on either rent or HP. This na choice and him hustle. I pay 20k on rents but if I tell you I prefer to pay 30k you go dey ask whether na village people dey do me. But like I said. Na choice and the hustle wey I sign. Before December I go buy Dru23 make me self join my oga them.

Oga tojahh thanks for the other day o. You are truly a big bro with a lot of cheer in you. God bless you.

So stop missing leading youth even if a car own said it is 40k weekly if u don’t like it pass someone else we love It not insulting the person that own the car saying foolish words I have see so many of ur comments insulting car owners here

I never insulted any car owner. I hope to be a car owner someday so I cant insult one

My issue with your comment was wanting 20k for 5 days. It will never favor the driver and you also. All you could have done was ask me to explain my reason. But you went in with insults. That's not how people learn or make friends

I'm sorry for the drama we just had. No vex

Somebody can not talk again because you don't have corolla if you talk they will remind u don't have Uber, typical Naija mentality. Maybe it's time we start advertising our cars and other achievements, I know there other things worth more than car that some of us have yet they will want u to shut up.

There is nothing wrong with talking.. Talk objectively and state facts.. Don't talk base on assumptions ... when u talk say corolla is cheap, that u can land corolla with 1m or a bit over 1m .. That bit can any small amount.. Corolla from 03 to 05 will land at 1.4m if you are lucky.. Buying any year Corolla at the auction whether accidental or not . Will cost you nothing less than $1k to start with.. Buying from private owner especially in good condition with no major issue like transmission or engine can cost $2k upwards .. Shipping can $850 to $1000 and towing to the port depending on distance can cost $200 to $500. Clearing depending on the year 350k naira to 400k ... so plz take time
