These fuckers cut Kuz. That's it, I ain't rooting for them no more.

I believe Kuz was cut because he is injured.

He is definitely not worth the attention. If I were you, I would ignore him.

This is really unfortunate. He was putting up Canton numbers too.

I think it was more the mental process of rehabbing from injuries and not the physical aspect. Not everyone can deal with that process over and over. That draft with him and RG3 where it looked like they would dominate for a decade and it's Russell Wilson that history would remember as the winner of that draft class. How ironic

I think there is enough blame to go around but I would first blame Jim Irsay and the Colts who failed to build around Luck after he was drafted especially with the O Line like they did when they had Manning. Luck suffered during his early seasons and was manhandled a lot and these are the results. We speak about Brady a lot but the truth is that every year, the Patriots invest in their O Line so that Brady does not have to tap dance.
A. Luck has some blame too because for some reason his body is not rehabbing completely and I believe there is something him, his trainers and the Colts are not telling us. His shoulder injury which has been the corner stone of this problem is a typical example because someone is lying to us about the rehab.
All in all, I am happy he is calling it goodnight because he knows his body better than anyone and I believe the shoulder is worse than we are told and Luck knows that. He is definitely a talented QB and I will miss watching him. The Colts are used to playing without him but this gives their future clarity about that position.

Colts will suck it up and lose for Lawrence, since that is the prototype they like for the position. I do think with that Online Tua's accuracy might solve that problem a year earlier but betting on Irsay waiting for Lawrence

I believe they could have just wrapped ice on that ankle and given home some shots of adrenaline.

I don’t think the Lakers and his agent would like that especially as the regular season approaches. That is a very sensitive and important part of the body for NBA players. Kuz would have made the team if not for that injury and I think him/ Lakers agreed upon that decision and I believe that is the best for him.

I just finished reading the piece about the D'Tigers journey so far on your blog and I must say it is quite informative and specific. I like how you spent a few lines in summarizing each result and the circumstances that led to the result including the "Jet Lag" situation. I will definitely be waiting to read your take on each member of the final roster. I encourage everyone to spare some time to read his piece, it is quite rich in content.

The team is too loaded to lose for Lawrence. Their squad is too deep to lose enough games to get to that point. Jacoby Brisett might as well take his chances to be a decent starting QB. I'm wondering too if they can take a flier on Case Keenum. He did take the Vikings to an NFC title game

I've always found the idea of tanking a bit bizarre in the NFL. Because while one player can influence the outcome of a game to an extent their impact is nowhere comparable to basketball

Not bad. I think we have a fighting chance in that group. Argentina is the only standout as the others are beatable, though Russia will always give us problem but I would be more scared if the likes of Serbia, Slovenia or Lithuania were in the group.

This team I think also seem to have the ability to play up to the quality of their opposition

It's really unfortunate. Ironically a guy like Big Ben who has been sacked 3 times more is still going strong into his 16th season. Same with Brady and Brees who surprisingly get hit more times than we think. Even a much smaller Russell Wilson has been sacked almost double

I guess we're all built different but mere looking at Andrew Luck's physique you would think he would be built to take that kind of punishment

Even on First Take the other day they were debating about it that perhaps Luck's injuries are more serious than they were letting on and now it turns out they were right. I also like where Stephen A came from, while the boos were not in good taste I feel the Colts fans had a right to express their frustration at Luck retiring with 1 week to begin a new season. I would be pissed if Big Ben did that for example
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:10am On Aug 27, 2019
Let me also reiterate. The league is not ready for Juju Smith and James Washington this season

IMO I think the fact that Big Ben, R. Wilson, Brees and I would add Rodgers are still active despite the amount of beating they have received is a testament to the quality of the medical staff the Seahawks, Saints, Packers and Steelers have. I will not mention Brady because the man rarely gets to tap dance worth more hit the ground aggressively. This is not the first time I am questioning the Colts medical team. Do you remember P. Manning’s neck injury which made him leave Indiana and ultimately retire after winning the Super Bowl with the Broncos? The Colts did not manage that injury any better and that is why I don’t trust them one bit.

And for the Colts fans, while I sympathize with them considering the timing, I believe they should be used to not playing/ having Luck all the time so this should not exactly shock them. Even before this announcement, there was uncertainty regarding his availability for the start of the season. Booing Luck is a low low and very ignorant thing to do because it shoulders the burden of his problems primarily on while but I have the gut feeling that Luck got tired of the rehab system the Colts were employing and was not willing to risk his future.

Spot on with both points. But they'll have to come to the party early enough to have a chance. Most of these warm up games had one thing in common, coming back from a huge deficit at half time to win the game by 2 or 3 points. On one hand it looks like a good sign, but one can think it is an issue they would need to address.

The coach talks a big game, looks the part, and of course has the ring to back it up but I am starting to doubt the man. He has wasted so juicy looking rosters over the last few seasons.

That might well be true but he has always kept us relevant. Aside Pete Carroll with the Seahawks and of course Bill Belichick there has not been a more consistent team. Big Ben and Mike Tomlin are two wins away from being the 3rd highest winning coach-QB combo of all-time. We've never had a losing season since he became coach. Not 1!

His issue is always being a player's coach, like the cool dad that doesn't know when to be the friend/guy and when to be the father. Thankfully the cancerous elements have been cut off and we would see a hungrier team this year

Pittsburgh Steelers have a WR factory. Anyone that thinks AB would be missed has not been paying attention.

Ward
Plaxico
Santonio
Wallace
Sanders
Martavis
JUJU Smith

We dey produce them like chinko factory

I don't know, maybe I am reading too much into his mannerism/ posture in the picture, Cousins does not look happy but I hope I am wrong. In fact, they both look unhappy and distant from each other. I hope he is not trying to suppress the emotions associated with his injury or a personal problem by getting married.

Hopefully, this brings some reprieve for him and I am wrong.

Yeah that might be his problem. He looks and talks tough but he is a bit of a softie.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Steelers but at a point in time one has to expect more than just winning seasons based on the wealth of talent he has had at his disposal.

I think you have to consider firstly his relative youth. It's harder to be pulling a Bill Belichick when as at when he became coach he was almost agemates with the older players and even this present generation of players will likely see him more like your cool uncle than a coach thanks to his personality

You must also understand that as a black coach in this league he will not have the kind of cache. Look around the league and consider that apart from Tony Dungy and Marvin Lewis in league history you cannot point to another black that has been able to lead a team for over a decade. You cannot be applying the hard line stance on all issues because if it backfires and you lose your job your chances of becoming head coach again are next to nil

I will also agree he needs to do better and losing to the Jaguars, Broncos and events of last season are definitely a black eye in his tenure as HC. However the perspective for me is barring the Patriots who it must be said enjoy the luxury of a relatively weaker division, no other team can really say they have done better than Tomlin

Wait, a new power ranking is out?

I have no idea why they were dropped. And all those guys have been reliable guys for the team since 2015 when they won the Afrobasket. I mean, what's the point bringing Josh Okojie and Chimezie Metu? Those guys are not that good. You drop your two best 3 point shooters for them. I don't get.
