It will be credited to you account upon maturity

You don't even need to visit bank or fill any form.

C505:
Someone please confirm if I can get my tbills money upon maturity without a certificate.

The only proof I have is the detailed mail they sent to me when I subscribed. I don't know if it varies from bank to bank but the bank in question is stanbic.

If it happens that I need the certificate, can I still obtain them considering one is soon to mature and the other, January.

The secondary market I applied for since on Wednesday up till now not done. I keep calling the bank officer, and her replies is “I will do it”. I suspect they want to use my money to close out August deposit. STANBIC IBTC why? You guys were not like this ooo.

You are too nice. On your own money again!! Last time my account officer tried this with me, I just moved the funds to another bank instantly via online banking. I-invest is there, MMFs are there, options are plenty. Gone are the days one lousy account officer can hold a person to ransom.

That's the reason for having multiple banks as options. Every bank has its day.

First Bank and Stanbic, if my market insight is still intact.

Hello sir, your attention is kindly needed.
They was an incident you made a post about. On how your friend was scammed #50,000 in a procurement deal that went wrong...

Efforts to reach the owner of the said cash all along has been fruitless. For a return of the cash to the owner...

Please if you could kindly help with a way of contacting your friend, we will be grateful.

Thanks

Exactly what they did to me when I opened a mutual fund account with them and wanted to move the cash from the main account to the mutual fund account. They refuse to give me the account number for the mutual fund account and was ducting all sorts of charges from the amount. I vex transfer the money to my GTBank. Few hours they sent the mutual fund account number to and said that I should proceed to make payment. They want to use your money and do business and don't want you to earn

There is something fishy. I bought t-bills about seven different terms and before I got home that day I was debited and t-bills certificate emailed to me. I went the following day to pick up the hard copies.

Exactly. When you think of moving large cash like that, they won’t do it all at once. If you are not careful, the bank you are moving it to will do the same thing. This money m talking about was moved from Ecobank to stanbic.

Top greetings of the day to all the gurus in the house.

I am new to Tbills. I have 500k that has been lying helplessly in my current bank account for several months. I suddenly stumbled on this intellectual thread which i found very useful to investing my hard-earned money.

Someone introduced me to I-invest app where i can invest on Tbills. Please, i need candid advice from the experienced guys here on how to go about it. I want to also know if the App is truly safe to invest on Tbills. Lastly, what are the pros and cons of using the I-invest App. I am a little bit confused about the whole thing.

Or, would it be nice to walk into my bank and invest directly with my bank instead of the I-invest App?

Please, i am a novice to Tbills. Dont be angry with my numerous questions....i just want to be sure where and how to invest my 500k.....

I will sincerely appreciate your response.

A discussion on I-invest app on this thread is normally very heated and tends to derail and polarize the thread. So i will advise that you paste I-invest app on the search option of this thread and read what has been said about it and then draw your conclusion.

Just walk into your bank and ask about Tbills.
Also try and read the first 20pages. Do some research also, because this is your money we are talking about.

If you are not comfortable with i-invest, walk to your bank between 9am to 3am and invest in secondary market...the earlier you go, the better ..so you can get good rates... Secondary market is open Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm...When you get to the bank, ask for the person in charge of Treasury bills and do not allow anyone confuse or convince you to opt for fixed deposit instead....if you prefer primary market..ask your account officer to explain....

Impressive!

Seun should create a lounge for premium investors here on Nairaland ooo.

Without sounding too personal or introspective, can you mentor one on making, managing and multiplying money to the tune of 50/100/500million?

No need for that, just focus and compound your interest always, with time you'll get there.
