Greetings to you all.

I recently got my visa to study at LIT and orientation started today. There are 2 forms I am supposed to submit, but I haven't submitted them yet because I haven't traveled due to this accommodation issue. It is quite expensive over there at Limerick.

My questions are as follows.

For those of you that have traveled, what questions were you asked by the immigration officer, and what documents did you provide?

Also, does anyone know where i can get cheap dorms in limerick?

How do I know if the phone i use in Nigeria here is 'unlocked for ireland use'

These are all for now. I have found the comments on this page quite helpful.

Thanks in advance for answering my questions

Funny enough, the immigration officers don’t have your time. I wasn’t asked any questions tbh. All I had to do was show my Passport and offer letter.
As for the accommodation in Limerick, I don’t have any information as regards that but I’d suggest you book a hostel or bnb close to your school for the meantime or send a mail to your school. They should be able to fix you up with something temporary.
Don’t be afraid, your phone will work here. All you need do is get an Irish sim (which is usually free) and dump that Stupid Glo/Mtn/Airtel network.
