This is all nonsense, you do not touch the money until you get to the UK, all these excuses doesn't cut it.
Oga or madam, you don't know how wrong you are, read up more, it is not even UKVI business what happens to the money, they just want to know you have funding for staying in their country, so spending a bit of the money is not wrong

Hi everyone, is it true that you must book return flight ticket when you are on a tier 4 general visa ? An agent told me one might not be granted entry if you don’t have a return ticket. How true is this, please?

That is not true, you can book one way ticket..no problem

You are just ignorant of this and its very clear from the way you go about misleading the op.

Hello house, please can one use Ghana must go to carry food items as one of two baggage allowed ? I'm going to the UK next week (tier 4).

Could anyone here with experience suggest the types of bags that most suited for international travel, particularly for food items (African) ?

Thanks.

You can't use your uncle's account, he has to transfer the money into your account.

If you don't stop using this thread to encourage the abuse of student rule your posting privilege will be removed.

Do whatever you like with your application but never come here trying to encourage others to do the same.

Hello everyone
I intend to study in the U.K. Sheffield Uni for January 2020.

I have a BSc in Industrial Chemistry and I wish to study Supply Chain Management for MSc.

Does my propose course of study raise a red flag with respect to my undergraduate degree?

Can I still go ahead with seeking admission considering there is literally 4 months before resumption date?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Zoey1: 9:58pm On Sep 02, 2019
Yes you can and its even better because the bag won't add to the weight of items unlike a box

1. Yes you can if you prove your genuine reason without doubt to the ECO.
2. Does not pose any threat.
3. January intake is still on track

@Justwise, don't mean any offence by my posts but a lawyer from UK Council for International Student Affairs was where I got my information from. That is a white woman lawyer, she was stressing that students don't understand immigration laws but I guess you can remove my posting privileges for posting something an immigration lawyer clarified..instead of just asking me where I got my information from. I can understand you have read all the laws of tier 4 visa, so have I. I can remember a part that stated that the money should be available even after your application but you are misunderstanding that statement, that was the statement the woman clarified. Normally i dont answer questions on nairaland, even when i know the answer, i only selfishly ask questions and from now, i will stop answering questions again. Thanks

Another thing is that this thread or nairaland in general will never grow if when someone challenges your opinion by arguing against it, you then threaten to remove that individuals posting privileges, I know argument or debate leads to knowledge growth, what if am right and you are wrong or if am wrong and you right, you would have just explained to everyone why you believe its bad for him to have used part of the money because I explained the disadvantage of using the money but sighting it won't prevent him from securing his visa. The funny thing is that I answered the question because I pitied the OPs situation. Please I believe everyone here is an adult and know constructive argument only leads to growth but I still promise never to answer any questions in nairaland because of justwise. Even the girl that wanted her stepfather to sponsor her, I knew the answer to her issue and kept quiet. Thanks

Ok, she needs to follow student visa rules and complete the form carefully.

Student visa application is straightforward and easy to secure if you do the right thing.

Yes please stay a way if all you have to contribute is how to circumvent the system.

This thread has a lot of people giving honest and genuine information, so there is no need for any questionable information here.

Like i said before i will remove your posting privilege if you come here to encourage the abuse of the system. I don't care whether white, brown and black immigration lawyer told you that.

Wait a minute dude... what nonsense are you spewing out here?
Are you saying it is ok to print the statement. The. ‘chop’ the money even before putting in the application?

What then is the essence of having the money?
I thought the rule said the MAINTENANCE fund is supposed to be available to you for your stay whilst in the UK.

And you said it’s a lawyer that told you that?
That lawyer must have been high on piss.

I want to appeal to us to lessen the attacks and threats. I dont get to read comments like this on other forums. Let us argue constructively and provide proofs where possible. For those that have power to withdraw other people privileges, lets not scare people away from voicing their mind. We all learn by speaking out.

I have taken my time to read the whole question and solutions proferred from the moment it came up. I am yet to see anything wrong with the op going ahead to submit his application as long as the statement is not older than 31 days and the balance didnt drop below the mark for the 28 days. I have read the whole tier 4 guidelines, i am yet to see where it is written that the money must be in your account after the 28 days. I stand to be corrected and many folks who have gotten their visas here can testify to this. You may argue that it was stated that the money must be available to you for your study whilst in the uk. But i havent met many people who keep money in savings or current account forever.

To fulfil the 28 days requirement, people liquidate interest yielding mutual funds, treasury bills, fixed deposits etc. Once you fulfil the 28 days, i believe there's nothing wrong in moving your funds back to these security instruments even while your application is being considered.

Just so that you know, the banks are not obliged to disclose any account balance to any visa office other than to confirm authenticity of the bank statement presented. This is the reason why visa officers look at trend and not closing balance which often time could have changed before the application is been considered.

For tier4 visa, the 28-day rule is simply 28 days of maintaining a certain balance nothing more. The ukvi knows many folks do all sort to raise this fund including borrowing, but they have also deviced means to combat that by demanding the sponsor i.e the school report every irregularity if any is observed to the home office immediately after you resume in school.

Please lets educate ourselves by being open and factual, and not by intimidation for no man knows it all.

Hello folks

Please i need a little help, i am yet to get an accomodation as I plan to stay in a hotel for 2 days and get accomodation close to the school. While filling the form online, I was asked where I would be staying and i gave this same explanation. the problem now is the IHS form cant be filled without providing an address as it keeps asking me where i want to stay. You need to state whether you are applying to stay in the Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey. What do I do about this?

Use the school address, more like you'll be staying in the school-owned accomodation.

I hope this helps to allay your fear. Because schools are resuming soon, there is a high volume of applications waiting to be attended to. I know of someone who paid for super priority and got her passport after 5days and another who paid for priority and got hers after 12working days. Do sit back and relax for God is in control .. You will get your passport in due time.

All the very best
