I used it to give my lovely daddy, the one that sponsored me throughout my academic pursuit a 'befitting' burial. He died the same day I got a job. The pains is still drying my bones till now. I love you daddy.

I was in a discussion with some IT students some days ago, when one of them said he used his first salary to organize a birthday celebration for his dad. Reason being that he one day never saw his dad celebrate his birthday, rather he celebrated every one of them in a very special way when they were kids, which made him feel the need to make his dad feel special on his birthday.... I so much encouraged and applauded him for doing.

Reason I'm here trying to know what we really did with our first salary from those who can remember, because I can't even remember mine.

the first month, i divided the money into half, half goes to motherless home and the remaining half, i gave my parents some of it for prayer and i used the remaining for maintenance while the following month, i divided it into half and i gave the half to church and i used the remaining half for myself. In essence, i gave my first salary to parents, motherless home and church. Thereafter, na my parents i dey give money.

I can't even remember what i did with it.

My First salary was 8K, Fresh out of secondary school, I was working as a cyber cafe assistant (sales of browsing time, checking of results and the likes) back in the days...I used the money to buy a symbian phone, sent my crush #100 MTN so we can always talk at night using MTN free Night calls and gave the rest to my mom to keep for me as well as salaries from subsequent months which "probably" summed up to part of the money she gave when I later gained admission to the university...

Have never done a salary job before but i'm operating a small scale business of which my first month savings was shared 50/50 between my parents. We live in different states.

It was 700naira not enough to open a bank account so after paying tithe .i kept the rest in my pocket to eat amala every day under the marina /broad street bridge till it finishes.

I paid debt with lager part of my salary because I was posted to a far location where I knew nobody ,so I started from the scratch borrowing from older colleagues to settle down

I gave my mum and siblings part of it, I gave my ex part of it for her school stuff ( the only part I regretted), I bought cloth and other stuff I needed with the rest.

The rest was spent on chop chop here and there. My parents nor send your money. �

Post-secondary school manual labor proceed were not referred to as salary, it all belongs to my mum cuz I don't need money then, i only want to work and during NYsc it was allowance, I love food!

I have never really given my mom much money in my life, partly because she has her own money and partly because I manage her account.

I feel guilty when I am reading people giving their moms their salary because I honestly only thought about myself when I received my first salary some years back.

Gave my mum my debit card to withdraw any amount she wanted... But by the side, I kept reminding her that mama, I go still transport myself go office till next one comes

Mine was 70k...I took the whole thing cash and signed my pay slip....But by the time I got home went into the bathroom to take my bath and freshen up,50k was missing from the money.I can swear it was one of my cousin sisters that stole that money coz it was just us three at home that period...maybe it was because I sang all day the previous day of how they were going to pay the next day at work not knowing those ones were planning to loot me like Shoprite.Even after I threatened them with babalawo the money still no come out,I come dey feel say na 20k I carry come back house or something.It was so annoying.
