Yes

Wow. But this is just like a security deposit right? I'm guessing the balance should be refundable after your stay.

Hello people

please has anyone gone to Canada to give birth especially CS birth without knowing or having anyone over there? if yes:

how did you apply paper or online?
what did you do about the requirement of letter of invitation since you don't have anyone?
where is Canada did you give birth? details of hospital and doctor, cost
how did you get accommodation and the cost?
how did you help yourself any nanny or caregiver? since no one relative or friend to rely on for this

will be grateful if I get an answer

kudos @hotstepper and other who have been giving support from the beginning of this thread.

Congratulations.. tapping into your blessings.

Anyone got idea if the embassy verifies available balance in the account during the visa approval process?

Many thanks.
Receive it in Jesus' name.
Dont know if they verified mine.
I submitted naira and USD statements, of which the naira suffered heavy depletion long before visa approval, but the USD remained untouched.

Congratulations
Please can you help with infomation on how to process birthing in Canada and the required documents? Thanks.

Thanks.
The process begins with getting all the info you can read up here and opening your online log in account on the Government of Canada website.
But that is after you do a thorough document gathering to make a water-tight application.
Documents I submitted are quite many all to prove my ties in Nigeria. They include:
An honest LOE, Marriage cert., birth cert., newspaper publication of change of name if married female, C of O of your properties, company reg documents of a business owner, letter of employment, letter from your employer stating your job title and roles, statement of acc., bank intro letter, pay slip, family pics, tenancy agreement, intro letter of who is inviting you (if you dont have, docs appointment will do), kids school fees receipt, previous visas, flight reservation, hotel or accommodation booking reservation, work ID card, budget sheet, photos and docs of your building if any, etc.

The list is endless after certain key docs.
Sorry for the late response and long post.
Hope this helps you and many others who need to beef up their chances.
All the best.

The bill below is a one night hospital stay for vaginal birth. Brampton civic hospital
As mentioned earlier I used Dr kayode Ayodele
Birth certificate took almost 3 weeks. This is because I made a mistake in the postal address. I had to send a a fax which delayed the process. Please pay attention to details. Thank you everyone who shared their experience because it was really helpful. I stayed with my sister in-law so didn’t have to worry about food, accommodation and transport. Total hospital bill

Hospital was 2000 CAD
Baby 600

Dr including prenatal, birth, epidural n post 3500 CAD

Lab n blood work 87CAD (Dr accepted most of my lab from Ghana) I used Dynacare

Pediatrician visit after birth was free

Passport (fast track 5 working days) 105
Birth certificate 60
Visa Ghana ( fast track 2 days ) 150
Ticket 98 Brussels airlines

Total 6600

Wow, that's good..congratulations.
Hoping for good news.. will contact you for more details later, ok.

Hehehe, you wan use documents kill them.
Anyways, I guess that's only possible with online submission, they rejected some attachments at VFS (family pictures, school fees receipt).
I just wished I had used online, though I wanted a faster route cos we don't have the luxury of time anymore.

Hello all, can you please advise a pregnant friend of mine relocating to ontario as PR. Is it possible that the hospital place her on installmental payment plan since she will not be immediately covered by the govt healthcare.
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 9:00pm On Sep 04, 2019
I doubt if anyone will come forward to answer u unfortunately.

1. it does not matter hoe you applied, none has a priority so choose one that beat suits u.

2. You do not need IV from anyone to go to Canada. People use hotel reservation .

3. This one you have to read the thread and find the info or google the part of Canada you want to give birth and start contacting drs.

4. Some people stay with family and friends, some people get via airbnb and some use agenta so they are sure of what they are getting but thisbis aftee hey have gotten visa. For visa purporses, people do hotel reservation.

5. some have people they sty with, some come with their mums etc ..if you want to do nanny, have in mind thelis kind og service is not cheap in this part of the world.

I hope this helps

Hello Everyone,

On 24 April, 2019 i had my bio metrics done after i had submitted my application via the online route.

On June 6, 2019 We got a response for procedural fairness regarding the hotel we booked, their concern was that there was no booking. We immediately responded informing them that a reservation was made but after we noticed attempts by the hotel to deduct the booking cost from our bank card, we cancelled the booking.

This response was a day after on June 7, 2019 and till now our profile hasn't been updated we haven't had any response from them.

Is this normal, what do you advise we do or who do we contact.
Good evening. What was the outcome of your application? We also got a prepayment deduction of $198CAD on the same day we got an approval. Checked the booking website and they stated that they charge a temporary deposit to make sure the card used to book isn't lost or stolen and to guarantee booking.

I do want to find out too. In Miami I was told giving birth costs at about 10 000 us dollars. and what about Canada? i also know that in US they won't give your kid any citizenship, only when the kid is 18 years old and only after that age he/she can ask for citizenship.
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 12:12am On Sep 07, 2019
both canada nd US give automatic citizenship at birth

The tracking platform on vfs website isn't working either; so I am unable to track the progress.
Thankfully, I opted for courier to return it.
Patiently waiting to hear from DHL now.
