Right project in a wrong location. From the look of the landscape this place looks like a village that has low vehicular movement and activities.

I thought fly over bridge is for a notorious junction known for traffic deadlock to decongest traffic.

It's like the built Bayelsa airport that has the lowest traffic known to airport that have made airline companies not to move to the airport, from Bayelsa to Abuja or Lagos less than 40 passengers a day.

you don't know there ..forget about the surrounding..is a point where most vehicles traveling to calabar from South West and north follow..don't judge a book by its cover, he's not a mad man to build a flyover there

I was speaking base on the landscape and the thick forest I am seeing and no commercial buildings to signify that it's a busy road/junction the reason i said the place doesn't look like a place known for traffic.

But if you say so who am I to say other wise since I don't know the area more than you do, then kudos to Dave Umahi for having alot of signature projects with less federal allocation.

Unlike my governor Wike with huge allocation and IGR is yet to dualise any road not to talk of flyover bridge as signature project.

It's not a crime to plan.
The article mentions the influx of investors to the state. Better now than to pay compensation later.

When will Abia have a performing governor? Umuahia is dirty and under developed unlike other South East states.

Sound it my guy, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is not fit to be a gateman, talk more a state governor, the appointment of this clueless rotund individual is the greatest mistake Chime made..

APC's Ayogu would have been a better option than this clown..

It's a win win for Umahi.

This is the governor's thinking (has some economic basis with a dose of emotional reasons).

All things being equal, construction work and all public works have great multiplier effects on the economy as this entails a huge cash inflow into the system plus many people are employed as the project lasts and opportunities for training abound.

You will notice that the massive construction works in the state have been a great stimulus to the economy of Ebonyi state.

The construction of multiple flyovers is a more emotional project. In the governor's words, he wants to tell the rest of the nation....especially nde ijekebee that Ebonyi people are not as backward as they keep saying... He mentioned the flyover in Abakaliki/ Afikpo road as one that was designed to confuse and confound the people who look down on Ebonyi people.

His companies do the jobs. He massages the people's ego, makes lots of money and is praised for a good job.
He wins on all fronts

Iberiberism governors who see flyovers as mark of big development.

Who taught them that flyover can be built where roundabout or traffic light can easily be okay?
Poor education from Nigerian universities?

They compete among themselves for flyovers without building water supply systems for their citizens.
Re: Pictures Of The Arthur Eze Flyover In Ebonyi Under Construction by saajus: 9:55pm On Sep 09, 2019
Waste of money. The area that I'm seeing in the picture does not need flyover. no be bush I dey see for left and right. Something is fishy. Someone may want to use this project for an ulterior motive. This is not charity

You must be part of them who see flyover as mark of city and development.

Iberiberism. You, or most of the people in Ebonyi state may still be fetching water from private borehole.

Okorocha built two flyovers in Owerri while 100% of Imo state had no source of treated running water.

Multiple flyovers in a state where the main mode of transportation is bikes... undecided
The ones Akpabio built in Uyo (in-between stealing) are presently under-utilized.

Governors, please concentrate on HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT and basic infrastructure.

The plan is to link that road to cross river and to enugu, that road is not a busy road but by the time the plan of linking the road is actualized its going to be busy and heavy trucks will be plying it from cross river to Enugu stead of going through abakaliki.

Dave knows what he's doing, he is doing everything possible to open up his village uburu. The road will cut across uburu..He has really worked in uburu

Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi should visit Ebonyi state let Dave Umahi teach him how to do projects.

This kind thing is needed at Abakpa junction and holy Ghost round about.

I'm from same place with Ugwuanyi but must admit this guy is a flop after visiting Ebonyi state

9th mile corner needs a network of flyovers. Ordinarily it should have been something the federal gov't would undertake.
