Just migrated to the Uk and I'm kinda finding it difficult to grab some of the things they speak, especially with those that speak quite fast. Is it just me or what?, kinda frustrating sometimes..

Hello all,

Not sure if this is done here but need about £4000.

I have the Naira equivalent at rate of 430/£.

Putting everything out there so as to be transparent.

Lexusgs430 can serve as escrow.

Heard it on Kiss this morning and i was happy.

To think that Theresa May passed this silly law in the first place in 2012 which was when I did my undergrad degree in the UK. Glad she resigned as PM. She was incompetent both as home secretary and prime minister

So, Boris bringing back post study visa.

It's a good move. Theresa May cancelled post-study visa extension just before I came here for my masters.
It hurt, because several of my 9ja university friends were already enjoying and using the post-study visa to get jobs.
Me, I had to spend plenty money to get work visa as soon as I graduated. angry

Anyway sha, I still hope that Brexit will be cancelled.
Or if brexit goes ahead, then indyref2 will vote Yes so Scotland can leave UK and rejoin EU. grin

International students will be allowed to stay in the UK for two years after graduation to find a job, under new proposals announced by the Home Office

The change will apply to international students in the UK who start courses at undergraduate level or above from next year onwards (i.e. 2020).

You might want to check rates online before quoting yours. Pounds is going up and you're offering 430 here? They might as well use remittance services

That woman is winch. She's a devil in the flesh!

Brexit is just UK wanting to self destruct. But, if Scotland do indyref and succeed, and they want to join EU back, they will be forced to adopt euro currency which they might not like.

In my opinion, brexit won't happen.

Best Rate is 437. I don't deny that.

But my budget is 430.

People o, I have come again.

Is it right to turn me down for a job because I am on spousal visa? They said that I must be on ILR. No, it’s not a security company, they said it’s just their HR law.
shocked

A bit odd! Some companies can be scared of those on 'leave to remain' 'cos they worry anything can happen while ILR is a guarantee.

I remember when a company calls me then and I say Tier 4 depandant, they never call or email back just 'cos of the Tier 4 restrictions. But when they call and I say Depandant visa, they proceed with my application lol thinking it's a Tier 1 or 2.

Wow.

Tbf, I can understand tier 1 or tier 2. But I don’t need their sponsorship. So why are they worried if I’m on ILR or spousal? Can I also call mine a dependent visa? I really liked that job offer- it’s as if they copied and pasted my CV. It’s paining anyhow that I was turned down due to frivolities.
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Bourne007(m): 9:04pm On Sep 11, 2019
Companies vary and if they are unenlightened about these visas, there's simply no one can do o. Explanation will just be in vain.

There HR law says minimum ILR so saying depandant wouldn't work o. I'm pretty sure you will get something even better smiley

Well.... some jobs require you to have ILR. I once met British army at a job fair and they said they can’t employ one without at least ILR
