the white man never insists on any woman changing her name.
You can be married and keep your father’s name as a woman.
Best examples- look at their celebrities. Many are married but have refused to change their name.
You just need proof... If you have a marriage document or marriage licence and maybe wedding pictures that’s all you need

I know ladies even on this thread u shud be able to find them. They have kept their father’s surname and applied.... they attached proof of marriage which is registry or marriage licence with wedding pictures
At the point of entry into the UK one woman with her kids was subtly questioned since the father was not traveling along, she showed all these plus consent letter from father staing the kids are going on holiday with their mum.
Her passport bears her father’s surname while the kids bear their dad’s surname.

Whatever you do, register your marriage and get a document

tshoboy:
My people,

I had Nikkah wedding with my wife last year and we decided not to change names.

She did her international passport recently as a married person using her Surname.

We also have a daughter now.

Now, we want to do a marriage certificate at the registry and the person said my wife has to use my surname and she using married on her international passport while not legally married could have implications.

I am confused.

My own suggested solution:
- use her name on the wedding certificate and back date it to last year so that it won’t be that she got legally married on a date that is after the date she filled in her passport that she was married
- write a letter while applying that I had my nikkah on date X and registry on date X (attaching both registry and nikkah certificate) but my wife isn’t changing her surname.

Would this suggested solution work? If there is anyone with similar solution, please advise on how you went about it.

So, why is she not using your surname?

Religious reasons.

Hello, please will an account balance of 800K, but with opening and closing balance of 7million fly? Note the person just got US visa and Irish visa. This is the first visit. The person has an important event in November and needs to apply asap so can't wait to raise funds to meet 1.5M requirement. The person travels regularly yearly.

Thanks

Hello guys, I need a clarification on this, I got my UK visit visa approved, during the application I stated I’ll be staying in hotel during my visit, but later got in touch with a family member who’s ready to accommodate me during my stay, I understand I have to make the reservation cos it’s was stated in my application, my question is, can I make a reservation with the option of “paying at the hotel”? so I can easily cancel after I’ve been cleared at the POE. I’m actually trying to avoid a question like “why don’t you pay for the reservation before coming”? I don’t know if something like that happens at the POE, thanks for your contribution.

@All

I'm just going to say this for the sake of the gullible members here..

If you are refused a visa and you strongly felt that the ECO made a mistake then simply write a letter of complain pointing out those areas the ECO got it wrong and your application will be revisited again.

Do not pay anybody for such letter, don't be deceived by some people asking you to contact them so as to get you a letter for a fee.

Letter of complain does not have any format and does not have to be written by an immigration lawyer or solicitor, anybody can write one.

If somebody can't help you openly here and requested for private discussion then there is something fishy going on

Thank you for this Oga justwise

Good job sir,

Please, where should the letter be addressed to?

Use booking.com and check for hotels with free cancellations when making the booking. Also choose the option of paying cash at the hotel when booking it. As soon as you cross the poe, cancel the booking otherwise your card would be charged. Also make sure to look carefully at the date/time the free cancellation ends.

The madness of the whole thing is that visiting visa cost around $119 and some people are deceived to pay a solicitor £500 up to apply for 'judicial review' and wait for months for the outcome.

Spot on sir

The embassy and provid them your application reference number, passport number and your full name. Then paragraph by paragraph state your issue. You can also highlight it in the refusal letter and attach it.

Good morning everyone.

I am helping my aunt apply for a Visa, she is a pastor so no correct evidence of source of income like employment letter or business registration. Most of what she has is what she inherited from her father and donations given to her. How does she prove her source of income? She has enough money in her account to fund the trip.
