How To Ban Anybody On Nairaland!

Have you ever been chatting on NL and met someone so annoying. The good news is you don't have to been a moderator before you can ban all you need is a little spicy social engineering skill.

I have known this for quite some time now and here is how it works.

If you're a regular poster here you should be familiar with the annoying anti-spam bot.

As you know in the past I was working on an article by James Clear when the stupid bot deemed me fit for continuous banning . I complain to all the mods for days but there was no reply.


It seems the mods didn't care, but I was still determined dig out cause of ban and lot and lot of bans I was able narrow it down to a single word.

So I later found out that random foreign and misspelt words are being blacklisted by the spam bot. Words like NÑU and MÀNMEN as discovered by ilegend were been used to hide post and threads with an hour ban penalty.

So if you can make someone write them in the original form you can ban them from the section for a day.

But what if your persuading skills are as bad as mine?

Good news for you I didn't stop there I exploited further

Mods don't your waste time deleting this thread or banning me una go ban tire!

It simple all you have to do is to create an account with the word. There is a loop hole in nl that saves you from being ban.
the spam bot only scan words in the text field and never the moniker. And then traces it to the poster Id number.

If you're interested in knowing your unique Id number you can ask me later.

So in short all you have to do is to make sure the person quote you and womp! he is banned. Mind you, you can only receive ghost mentions with the account.

Note that, that moniker will only be performing wonders for a few hours.

How to find blacklisted words

Good news there are not only words but even numbers.( e.g 1786 + 2) This a huge discovery and I've used it to ban xenophobians like blackivy.

To find the words spare some freetime in posting randoms words. But mainly Wikipedia article, yeah they have a lotta blacklisted words there.

*chat her up.
