Those aren't cockroaches.

Even the faint scent of insecticide is enough to send those hideous bugs scurrying. You see them coming out of their hiding places already twitching. They can't stand the smell.

The writer forgot to add: block all holes in the septic tank. That is a major home and outlet for these nasty things. As the writer said, they love moist areas and that's just the perfect place for them. Check any septic tank with a crack and you'll see them moving around at night. Simply cover up all cracks on the septic tank and the problem of roach infestation is 80% solved, if not more sef.

By the way, in Madagascar, they have hissing cockroaches. That's one country I'm sure not travelling to

I don buy am eventually. Sniper ₦450, Kerosene ₦100 (half bottle). The way I’m happy ehn, even my wife can’t comprehend.

The best preventative measures is regular cleaning. The importance of good hygiene cannot be overemphasized.

There is an insecticide called "sharp sharp" it is sold in Lagos. You can get it at Ikeja after the LG Secretariat at Ikeja along in the evening, you can get it at agege too.

Sharp sharp can be mixed with little kerosene or little water and sprinkle it where the cockroaches usually operates.

I have been to 2 local shops in my area now, I can’t find sniper.

It's been banned from counters. Most shops no longer sell it except those that are stubborn or those that have old stock.

2 weeks ago or so, after going to about 10 shops & didn't find it, the one that looked like they have were scared to sell because they thought we were from a task force or so sent to spy on them.

Very disgusting, irritating insect. Like dirts, dark corner and smell alot.

Will run when you switch on light . Like playing dead. You will hit it and think it's dead return to see empty casket... if you decide to use the hatred you have for them and smash it, it will be worse because the abdomen will be smashed and emptied and that's more disgusting

They smell a lot and that's the annoying part.
But I think if you stay in a story building you won't have them in your home that much or atall.

I sealed two openings in my home in January; the kitchen and the toilet pipe in one of the rooms, without joking, I never saw any cockroach again in my house since January. I live in Ibafo, ogun state

Keep a wall gecko (omo onile) or lizard (alangba) as pet in the house. Thats tha natural solution but becareful because gecko and lizard are toxic to humans.

You can also keep chameleon (alagemo) as pet in house. All your cocroach problem is gone niyen. Just make sure you wear night vision goggles so you can see the chameleon and not mistakenly sit or trample it underfoot. They sabi camouflage.

If after these you still have cocroach then check yourself.

Have u experienced rats of today?u GI no say cockroaches are nothing ..rats no dey eat poison again they walk pass it no matter how enticing ..the rat in my house even uses my toilet

Clean every nook and corner of your room most especially your kitchen and store and apply the green leaf cockroach powder below at every corner.

You will be surprised how they will dissapear from your kitchen and some will die.

yes i prefer this than spraying chemicals everywhere that will kill the cockroach and kill you too. That powder is a godsend...

sprays, camphors and all that stuff have a lot of cancer-causing agents and chemicals that do some nerve damage

I totally agree. I have tried sprays almost everything in the past but when I tried the green leaf powder... abrakadabra it works like magic no smell no stress. You will see dead roaches and after a while you will wonder where they all went to.

Its the most effective I have tried.

You can get it in pesticides stores and those people that hawks rat and pest poison.

Please what did you use to seal the house.

There was an opening on the wall the toilet pipe was fixed, this I did not notice for many years; and as soon as I blocked it and used cement to cover it, cockroaches could not find their way in anymore.

Secondly, the zinc had an extra opening where the wash hand basin pipe is fixed on the wall. I had to block it also.

Also note that my home is a condicted one where all water and toilet pipes are hidden. This also prevents rats and roaches from encroaching homes.

I also don't keep waste bins, and my home is always extremely neat.
