They want to sack you themself. Organisations hate when a worker boldly retires on his own...if I were you , I will gladly tell them you are moving on. Is better you resigned than having sack in your cv

Be sure to get an alternative before resignation from a job. The moment you resign from a job, don't ever go back to that job else you'll be treated worse than you were before. My advice is you send out your CV's to other firms because your present employer doesn't care and they'll most likely treat you worse.

I don't know ur financial/economic situation. However, from experience of other ppl in similar plight such as yours. It doesn't always end well for the employee.

Kindly look for another job or go into business and be your own boss.

In my own opinion request for your PAYSLIPS there it should be stated why such amount was deducted, But if after seeing your payslip you still cant find what you are looking for, then you can approach your company HR for the 16% deduction

There is a woman called Eyo Ita, go and find out what Buhari did to her when she resigned but came back to work. Until they use Federal SARS to reason your matter that you're involved in stealing a pen, that's when you would have sense.

Ask them to issue you a letter of reappointment or re-employment or even a contract 9f employment stating the promises they made on the phone.

Your previous resignation terminated your contract with them. Your employment letter opened the contract and your resignation terminated it. Legally, you are a casual worker or even a trespasser on your office premises.

That you are being called to come back is an evidence that you are good on the job and you have all it takes to bargain favourably, therefore I urge you to ask them to give you new appointment letter with your new salary and other benefits clearly stated in the letter.

Did they acknowledge your resignation?

Did you sign anything after being called back?

Do they have evidence that you worked after being called back?

Now if they didn't acknowledge your resignation it simply means they didn't see it. In that case your absence from work has no justification and is punishable.

If you didn't sign any document agreeing to certain terms after being called back it simply means you thought you resigned (they acknowledged and hid your copy) but in fact you did not.

If there is evidence you worked after being called back the deduction (for your absence without permission) is justifiable.

@op please what type of employment is it? Temporary, contract or permanent? Were you given an appointment letter before you start the job at your first shot? How did you resign? Did you just walk away or tender a resignation letter? You need to answer these and some other questions before we can advise whether you should stay or not.

I actually was given an appointment letter and i tendered a resignation letter
