I have always heard of men being impotent due to low sperm count. I know low sperm count to be a very low concentration of spermatozoa in the semen and a man with the condition can not get a woman pregnant.
However, it takes just a single sperm cell to fertilize an egg and it is said that even the little sperm cells in the pre cum can get a woman pregnant, ejaculating a little on the surface of the vageana can also get a woman pregnant and we know that this processes dont deposit enough sperm. My confusion is that if a woman can get pregnant from these processes, how then can a man not get a woman pregnant when a his sperm count is low?

Low sperm count simply means that a man's ejaculation does not contain a sufficient number of healthy and viable sperms to accomplish the impregnation of a woman. Only the fittest ones get there and only the smartest one hits the egg. Once a sperm hits the egg, the egg quickly builds a barrier to block any other sperm from trying to enter.
