I am somehow confuses here.
To my knowledge payoneer does not sell any item.
you buy from Amazon and pay through credit card. then u received ur pay through payoneer

Does it mean that he cloned Amazon, Alibaba
because that is the only place he can obtain credit card.
I believe somebody just want to disgrace him base on issues related to business.

Let EFCC show should Nigerians the clone site so that others will not fall victim.

Incase there are other complainants.

I totally agree with you...but take a minute to read the part where he said admitted that he was a fraudster. If the business is so legit, why send your goods to Ghana to be sold whereas your country has a ready made market? I think we should be lauding the police for good work done not knocks.

For the rubbish statement

He cloned payoneer. His victims will think they are dealing with payoneer and enter their card details to him.

For the love of God Payoneer DO NOT process CARD so how will he do that? By the way where's the site he cloned?

Do you know what payoneer is used for?

No one uses credit cards on payoneer.

Payoneer is used by freelancers, dropshippers and Kindle publishers to cash out their revenue.

Tech-savvy people are in trouble in this country.
Leave make dem dey talk anyhow, just sit dey look dem dats all.

As in eh. Payoneer that won't even display your card details. Instead the numbers are marked with asterisks. A good lawyer will get this guy to walk away even if he's a fraudster. All he needs is to do is to copy this thread in his evidence.

Payoneer is his website? Intelligence at its peak! Considering this obvious 'inaccuracy' in this purported investigation, the guy might be doing a legit business. Unless, otherwise, the website he owns is a fishing site mimicking payoneer. Payoneer is a legit site.

Note: I do not absolve the suspected criminal of his crime but pointing out the inaccuracy of the statement that ' he owns payoneer'. If it is a Phishing site (a lookalike) that he owns, then it should be explicitly stated and not that he owns Payoneer. This becomes important because many of our law enforcement officers may begin to arrest anyone with a Payoneer card/account tagging it fraud.

Yup... Cause many of these operatives na illiterate. Na so them dey tag BTC as scam, just cause the real thing that brought about the wide spread of it's use in Nigeria was Ponzi etc

You're not serious
That's not how the law works...
There must be at least an evidence
Oponu.
The evidence is your assets and documented income.
If the 2 don't match and you didn't come into any form of inheritance or win a lottery at a point in time, then you are a fraudster, pure and simple.

Payoneer doesn't collect credit card details.
They rather issue theirs. Funny story.

Why una funny like this? The blogger must have made a mistake but my understanding of the issue is that he built a fake payoneer website and convinced buyers to use it to make payment. Now, not all buyers know how payoneer works, if they read that they can use payoneer to make payment, most of them wont even understand that it doesnt work that way. The people scammed online are not usually people like u who know how the system works, the scammers target people who dont understand exactly how things work. If he cloned payoneer website, the cloned one will work differently from how the original one works. His main aim is to collect their details.

No matter how much you think you have hit it big through fraud, there's just that one day that a transaction becomes the trigger to investigations and subsequent arrest.

Not worth it on the long run.Now he's going to have the houses confiscated and go to prison.

You are talking about a transaction not getting through. Its not even that. Once its fraud. It will surely comeback to haunt and hurt the fraudster.

I wonder, curiosity won't kill me. Maybe the gullible ones, buyers are not allowed to interact with sellers on Amazon. However, exhibition, orders and payments are made on & via Amazon payments system. Amazon is of first order security, I still doubt how he gets Amazon backlinked to his cloned payoneer site.

Thou might be an advance con.

Probably a phishing portal which mimics the original thereby convincing unsuspecting customers to login details of their ATM cards
