Greetings to the house,

About travel history, do they mean if the applicant has lived in another country for 6 months consecutively or a total of 6 months in a lifetime.

Answers are needed please.

Which travel history are you talking about?
Are talking about refusal reason and while filling a form?

Hello Everyone,

I am in the process of applying for MBA in Thompson Rivers University but need clarification on the application.
I have a first degree in Agric and changed my field by having a second bachelors degree in Applied Accounting. My Question is Should i exclude the first bachelor degree in Agric from the application since its not relevant to the proposed discipline (MBA) ?

Can it affect my chances of getting admission in the school if included?

Thanks

Hey @frankrobbn1
I received a message requesting that I upload proof that I paid the biometrics fee. My status now says "the additional document you sent has been uploaded.

Frankrobbn1:

@Christycode, The letter you received is called a Biometrics Validity Letter (BVL), it comes like a correspondence letter via your MyCIC Account stating that your biometrics is valid for a decade and that you wouldn't have to submit your fingerprints for any temporary resident visa application throughout this period of time. Please be well informed that applicants who receive this letter without a medical request is automatically a REFUSAL. This is the modus operandi by the Kenya, Nairobi Visa office since September, 2018 until now.

My response will be, there is no need to include it and you already answer the question yourself "since its not relevant to the proposed discipline"

Yes it may affect both chances of admission and visa

I didn't receive a biometrics instruction letter dear. What I received is a message telling me to upload proof that I paid the biometrics fee. (Last year) Which I have uploaded. Anyone ever received this before?

KrystalDesign:

Second time applicant? Really? I thought they said biometrics last for 10 years.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
Please what could the owner of this application do *correctly when re-apply*?
Please what does it take to get back *ones previous application case file*?

This same set of refusal reasons(Ties, employment and travel history) it's the take away cic gave or is giving to applicants this September. This makes it the 6th I have seen on this thread. I am guessing this app it also less than a month before it was refused.
Anyway, don't loose hope. It's a refusal not a denial.
Now to ans you, travel history has nothing to do with students but may be a +
Home or away ties: I don't know how you packaged your app. But be sure you have sufficient home ties. I still don't understand that ties in Canada part though. Gurus can help on that.
Employment: A good job, leave letter, reference letter for the company or boss, maybe salary also reflecting in your SOA, explaining how your proposed study will in return help improve your employment here and or help others too.
This is the little I know. Others can help

Sure you should be able to get a PGD/PGC program with your 2.2. But make sure what ever program you choose is a progression either academically or career wise.

To sponsor yourself is not a bad thing as long as you have enough funds to cover for all expenses (tuition fees, LE, flight) at least for one year.
The rate of visa denial is not encouraging especially as people say with even 20Million SOA they were still denied.

Thanks for your contribution. Please can you assist me in going through my sop, I have written it over and over but I want to be sure,I'm on the right path after reading the guidelines from this thread...
mcobex:
1. Yes someone with a different surname can sponsor you, but they MUST show commitment by paying your tuition fee and living expenses into your personal account or to the school (tuition fee), also they will need to write a letter of support stating why they want to spend such amount of money on you.
2. As for an applicant sponsoring another applicant, yes it is possible as long as he has enough fund to cover his fees(tuition and living expenses) and that of the other applicant(you know that could be a lot)

Yes your case file aka GCMS note. It's important that you order for it. It will give you a clearer view as to the VO's reasons for the refusal. You can check google on how to order GCMS note or contact that lady on this thread that has helped a few.

What do you mean by “the work and Live in Canada Visa Process”
And which visa do you want to apply for in particular?

I mean to go there to work, not to study.

I regret to hear your applications to five different universities for Admission were turned down. Please extend your search to Conestoga College and Fanshawe for their Global business management program.

Any particular reasons for the aforementioned institutions
I heard they influence visa decision to some extent?

Just copy and paste “Canada Federal skilled worker” on google and then you can read more about it. They also have a Nairaland permanent residency thread, you can search for that also. You don’t need any agent to check eligibility or apply if you read up about it very well. To check if you are eligible search for ‘“CRS Calculator “ which can be used to calculate your score. To stand a very good chance of being selected to apply for permanent residency you need to have a masters degree 1 year minimum skilled work experience and also score really high in ielts exam.

The part of the form where it asks if the applicant has stayed in another country for more than 6months, in the last 5years.

The thing is that, I schooled in Ghana but never stayed for 6months straight over the course of my time in school.
Can that be regarded as a travel history?

Quick question, did you do a medical upfront? Or called for medicals? Has your medical been passed?

The refusal letter just dropped . Here are the reason for refusal.
Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of
residence.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee.

@Frank, @naijaforeigner,@justmellow and other gurus in the house Please how do i tackle this?

We all know about the BVL and then refusal trend by the Nairobi boys.
Anyway, sorry about the refusal. Take heart and take courage from it. Like I always say, its a refusal and not a denial. Re-access your application, order for your GCMS note and re-fire or better still channel your resources and energy to another country. I said another country because I feel there is something going on with cic this period especially this September. It's been long since I see any approvals here and I guess many are still hiding their refusal or don't want to relate it here. You are the 7th person I have read on this thread with same reasons of refusal.

Meanwhile, how to tackle these reasons can be found here on this thread. It has been answered many times even today. But remember, GCMS note has the main explanation.
I wish you goodluck.
