The power dynamics in relationships have long swayed to the females side than to mens side. Some ladies may not yet realize this but it's true.
Men make it look as if it's easy to get into a new relationship or even find a bride these days unlike women. Men spends weeks, months even years wooing their crush to agree to their love proposal. Time is even more valuable than money because once spent cannot be recovered unlike money. Men not only spend time in this pursuit they also spend loads of money(they tag this as investment in hopes it will pay off later on)

Now ladies imagine the dissapointment he must feel when you still turn him down despite all these. It's very painful to fathom.

You must also realize that men see ladies as trophies to be won and displayed to the admiration of others, that is their fellow guys.
Of cause we are more than trophies, we are human beings but just to buttress my point a man who finds a woman he desires that agrees to marry him feels blessed cause many men tried but failed to win you (their treasured trophy).

The point is men are as vulnerable in relationships as women but they never like to highlight that point (but majority of romance post on nairaland will confirm my view) , truth be told even more vulnerable because they do most of the hard work in relationships, women are mostly the beneficiaries of relationship.

Lastly relationship status of either male or female should never be a yard stick to judge or discriminate against anyone. Marriage just like any personal pursuit (higher education etc) in life is a personal matter and everyone should be entitled to their choice.

in answer to part of ur post about wooing a woman for long like a year hence making her a treasure, my dear I fell for that scam in my teens, the new sure method now is multiple wooing ( like 3-4). Only if u know the number of female we flirt with , whatsap b helping us for long.

If you check out our African culture and even ancient cultures across the world, what made great men, truly great love was their offspring, male and female heirs of theirs. That is the purpose of child bearing to continue a man's legacy and lineage (that's from a man's point of view) love. A very faulty assumption....The reason some kids align with their mother is cos those very women downplay the role of the father for selfish reasons....It happens even in marriage ....Men are wiser these days and more involved...they found ways to bond with kids and display their importance....You see men legally taking up issues that prevent them access to their kids...this is 2019 and the child is an asset to both parents not only the mother....As for offspring bn tied to greatness....how many great men's children do you know...in history people achieve greatness by their deeds, inventions and all.....people don't even do plenty kids again...maybe 2....A generation is coming that will do 1 and then maybe none....so if u still tie a woman's value to her ability to produce kids....then u need to watch the trend...

Men's influence in the raising of children outside of marriage will always be downplayed by women. No kid will ever support a father who disrespects his mother by first not marrying her (making him a bastard in the process) and also by cheating on her with multiple women .
The respect this kids end up having for their mom always supercede whatever respect they may have for their dad.

Any man who provides only money without being fully involved in the training of his kid, will only have himself to blame when he isn't recognized fully for the role he played. We are our biggest promoters and not someone else.
