Still haven't heard anything from them. I sent a message through webform to Lagos Visa office on Friday. I'll wait a bit before messaging the Nairobi Office.

I also sent message through webform to Lagos office on Monday and Nairobi office on Thursday no response till now.

Hi guys, can you book your refundable (return) flight in and out of Canada before approval?

I plan to submit it together with my application.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by SOGalex: 10:16pm On Sep 29, 2019
I can assure you, it won't have much effect on your visa application processing like the way your SOP will. Channel all you have on SOP and explain your intentions in it without paying dim on flight yet

@Jeanjohnny

I submitted an application on the 18th of September too. Got my biometrics request on the 20th, gave it on the 26th.

Admitted to the University of British Columbia for Jan,2020
That's good to hear. I hope to get mine this week.

I am not surprised about what the Nairobi boys gave you, it has been the tea severed to applicants since this Sept.

Applied same 3rd
BVL/Refusal 18/19

Men need to start thinking of other countries oh... I am saying this because it's what I am doing already because abroad Na abroad and you can still get into Canada later if you still wish.
Time and money is being spent on this Canada but the result is not encouraging.

For this month of September, who can count how many refusal so on this thread alone and how many approval?
Something is wrong or happening as regards approvals to Nigerian students.

Hello Obehi44,

From your response, I noticed you have applied for the 3rd time and got delayed again right? It really hurts me getting to know this, and I know it can only get better for you, because you are a strong lady.

Please what was your refusal reason/s this time? Did you change your school and course as you said? What can you say actually went wrong again? I am asking you these questions because you have had a bunch of experiences regarding your application, and a lot of people will definitely learn from you.

It's not possible to purchase a ticket and get a refund except you purchase the most expensive economy ticket and you will still lose some money. Besides there's no need for that as it doesn't guarantee a positive outcome.

Yet another Refusal letter.

First time application

Timeline
Application: August 1
Biometric: August 6
Eligibility review started: August 8
Biometric validation and refusal letters : Sept 26

Program Type: Postgraduate Certificate in energy management
Bachelor: Electrical engineering (3.96)

Refusal based on:
* Current employment situation
* Purpose of visit

Resumption: January 2020

Is it advisable to reapply using the same acceptance letter? Or I should just start to process for refund?
I don't want to lose on both sides.

Its best you request for another LOA.

BTW which school did you gain admission to?

Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of
residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee.

This what I aslo got... I apply in September.

Pls what the next thing? I want to re-apply.

Yet another generic refusal reasons, just request for your gcms notes so you can try to make some sense of the application

September or August? Guess you meant August

I actually built my observations of the generic refusal reasons from some September applications, though such generic reasons was also given to some July applicants and numerous August apps too.

Good afternoon sirs and madams. I would like to know how I can create a highschool transcript.

I have my report cards but one of my target schools clearly stated they dont want report cards but high school transcripts. My high school does not give transcripts, just testimonial and WAEC.

Two posters on one of the earlier threads stated they created their own but apparently both posters have deactivated their accounts.

Your WAEC result or WAEC statement of result and scratch card can solve it

Please I need an urgent advice. I applied on 18th of September. I received another mail on the 19th to check my account for a new message... After logging in to check my application status... I saw confirmation of submission as the heading, I then went on to download the PDF. My thoughts were it's just a confirmation correspondence. When applying I uploaded all documents accordingly including the data page of my passport. I'm kinda confused because I haven't gotten a Biometrics instruction letter up till this moment. I don't know what's going on.
Pls, see image below.

How much was deducted from your Master card after submission? If it is $235 CAD, the only way to get their attention will be sending them both emails and webfom.

it depends on the total tuition of the program you intend to pursue in Canada, check your propose school website or rather send them a mail to get the breakdown, plus living expenses of 10000CAD per year then you convert to naira to see the equivalent
Majority of universities/colleges in Canada do not require IELTS/TOEFL for candidates with Nigerian degrees, although there are very few that makes it mandatory if your first language is not English.

Yes got refused 3rd time with this same generic reasons for late August - September.
First time personal assets and finance status. : increased money in account and added property.

2nd time Purpose of visit : wrote a 'banging SOP 2pages and LOE 3pages with the help of some grate men here. And it took about 3weeks of consistent writing, adding and subtracting.
As nothing to say again or they didn't even check the applications for this Sept at all, they now start dashing these three reasons.

Travel history: has nothing to do with a student besides my passport is not even empty.
Ties: LOL... I am married have a 2yrs old child, personal landed property, family landed properties..... I am not going with my child or spouse. Make I tell dem say Na my papa get National Stadium? Lol
Employment: Good government job with good pay, leave letter, reference letter from boss, job waiting for me, etc.
Sept 3rd - Sept 18th.
If you ask me what happened I will say nothing happened that they didn't even check the app.

Anyway, I de vex and they will meet me in Court.

I am sorry about your refusals. But i want to reiterate that there is something you are not doing right that u will not know until you order for your GCMS. If it's possible for u to order for the gcms for the 3 refusals u will discover a similar error or reason for the refusal

This is my candid advise to you, Order for the GCMS notes of ur 3 aplications that were refused, I am pretty sure there is somwthing you have not really tackled that will be repeated in those notes. And to the bolded, if you are thinking of taking them to court for Judicial review, my sister that isnt a good move. Except you have the money, time, energy and patience, then u can go ahead with ur judicial review. If not, please order for ur 3 applications GCMS notes, get what is wrong, tackle it and re-apply... Peace

Ignore people asking you to reapply the fourth time, there is high probability of getting a refusal again because their reasons so far ain't justified so what stops them from throwing another irrational reason at u? Think of it and save ur time and go to court.

The VOs that handled your 3rd application made no sense. Please order for all the notes so you can be sure whether the fault is actually from you or the VOs. Let us know what this is really all about, then you can now decide whether to reapply or press for a JR.
It will end in praise for you IJN.

it might be because of the age, and from what i deduced they expect you to go through the experience class

Sorry to ask, but how old are you... 2. How many years study gap do you have.. 3. When last did you attend an Institution before now? 4. How related is ur Previous study to ur proposed study? 5. Are you self sponsored or being sponsored by ur husband or a 3rd party.. 6. While away, did you show proof of finances that ur 2 year old child will be very comfoetable... Am not a VO, but answer this questions for us to have a clue before ur GCMS notes drops.. Peace
