It's not worth all the fuss. Maybe it's because he worded it in a way that's easy to misinterpret which is giving the stark radical feminists something to feed on. He is laying more emphasis on her other trait -- loyalty. and also stating a fact that she's not in fact the prettiest but is indeed pretty. Inferences people!

But on the other hand, men are notorious for putting beauty on a high pedestal whereas looking visually unappealing themselves. So I, for one, think the backlash is deserved.

Its a quasi-lexicon defined by a known or general fact compared to the specific or desired or accomplished part...you make comparisons against the world while highlighting what the person has better or best for ONLY you.

Back to the post, the man is simply saying her loyalty is what he counts to be on par with any prettiest babe in the universe,he is not abusing her just highlighting what he finds most satisfying to his existence.
