I learnt it is expensive, unless you know someone on the inside. If not, you only do so of the phone is really valuable or has vital info. The police hav means of detecting the sims that enters the phone... All they need is the imei
Had an experience in my office. A colleague bought a "UK used" Samsung phone at a ridiculously cheap price. Can't rmbr the price but he got it over 150k. He was bragging about it on the office day one he brought it to work, only to come to office the next day and was taking out of the office in handcuffs by SARS. It was really embarrassing.
Unknowningly to him, the phone was stolen. The owner was somewhat related to a king in Ondo state... Mayb the draught or so. The person travel to UK, and the phone got stole there. It got sent to lagos and my colleague bought it from computer Village.. The police hq in Ikeja helped with the tracking. The saving grace for my colleague was he could take them to the person he bought the phone from.... Cos even the receipt didn't really do much to save his ass. That was how he was out of the mess, but he lost his money, and it and was embarrassed. How many people does he want to be explaining the truth of the matter to

Damn,
Sir your colleague will forever remember this experience.

Stolen in UK retrieved in Nigeria.
The connection must have been serious. He's lucky the person that stole the phone didn't name him as an assesory.

This is one of the reasons why I dread and avoid UK used or fairly used phones. But some people want to use little money and buy big things. No matter what I want to be the person who tears the nylon off the good. Except I am buying from a friend . If not I advice all those buying stuff If you want to buy a thing, get it brand new from a trusted retailer.

For reopening of tabs upon start up, it was disabled all along.
For preloaded pages, What will you recommend?
Anyone with knowledge of uc browser, your input is highly welcome... The goal is to conserve data

Anyone that will work in Nigeria
both will work but will have difference of 4glte frequency band (band 28 glo ,band 20 part of mtn and more recently band 7 also man)which are all emitted on global ROM but present on global version,so i will suggest global version of any one you choose especially for newly released phones

It looks like the redmi 8 will come with sd439, that's a total downgrade from redmi 7. What's wrong with these people? undecided

I have this feeling that no matter how legit a second hand, UK or London used stuff is, it is stolen goods. I don't just know why.

That's the best thing to do ,moving on. If you can narrate how it was stolen. It will help ease the hurt and prevent future occurrence.
Theres a friend of mine that they keep on stealing his brand new phones from him within weeks. Right now he's using an iPhone Xr. I just hope he doesn't lose it too.
There was even a time I was at church. I was attending to the projector preparing it for the Christmas film show. I was charging my phone, suddenly a boy asked for my charger. Unlike me, who likes charging till 100%. I gave him my charger to use. Less than 30minutes later. His phone had been stolen in Church! The thief was gracious enough to leave my charger behind.
Till now I don't plug in public. Its better safe than lost.

Just like me, and I cant live with that fear. Its better I buy a brand new itel than buying a uk used Samsung.
