thats naive thinking especially in a country like Nigeria. the only places where economic power give you political power (some) are true democracies and places with proper rule of law i.e the western world!!! mostly because such economies truly care about jobs and companies that employ a lot of people cannot be messed with plus there is rule of law. In Places like Nigeria you enjoy your economic prosperity at the pleasure of those with political power...the North. Even in Lagos, igbos enjoy their propsperity at the pleasure of the yoruba political class. If igbos are perceived to overstep, you will see how quick their businesses start to get targeted and suffer like in 2015. Is it in a country that does not obey court orders that you want to be arguing with the people in power?

In countries like Nigeria, Russia, Saudi, China, you fall out of favour with the political class and your business and fortunes can be crippled overnight. Why do you think Russians and Chinese park their money abroad?
