Disregard whether its Packet 3 or 4. The most important thing is that the Embassy has given you guys the go ahead to schedule (which you guys have done).

Police Clearance is done in Alagbon. People from outside Lagos can go to the nearby police office and request for it, that police office will liaise with Alagbon to get it done. However I advice you guys go to Alagbon and do it yourself to prevent getting a fake document. Since the interview is done in Lagos (even the medical test is either done in Abuja and Lagos only), its better to come to Lagos 2/3 days before the interview and get the Certificate or if you are worried that it is too close to the interview date, liaise with someone you know in Lagos to do it for you at Alagbon.

I honestly don't know why the K1 dates is different from the B1/B2 dates. The Embassy knows. Perhaps for logistic reasons.

The police report i got is valid for three months. Does it mean I have to get another one?

I was given police character certificate. Is it the same as police clearance certificate?

Have been denied B1B2 twice both on conferences .The first was Feb 2017 and the second was June 2018.My fiancee is a Nigerian and we've been dating for the past 8 years .She came to Nigeria Dec 2015 and spent 2 weeks and the second time was October 2018 where she spent 19days.Shes single and am single too and all through my previous application haven't claimed married. before where so many do this for visa reason She started with the K1 processing 2018 November (ending) and my interview comes up nextweek.But we made another trip to Dubai March to April this year for her birthday where we spent 10 days there .Just worried about  the time frame between my denial (b1b2) and the filling.

@Ajibade16, you are solid. Don't worry about the denials, it won't count against you. Just make sure you have all the required documents for the interview.

Your B1/B2 denial has zero impact on your K1 if you were truthful without contradictions in your previous applications.

Hope you have evidence that you have been dating for 8 years............because the CO can ask for it especially if you mentioned it.

Based on what she got the US citizenship? It depends if she can file for you, not every new citizen can.

All you need to do now is to focus on your interview and don't let what happened in time past affect your composure on the day of the interview.All you need on that day is to proof that your relationship is real.This is your time,best of luck...

The most important question is this: what's your present middle name? Or which middle name do you want to maintain using?

Your answer will determine your next line of action. If you choose Tunde, then you will need to get a new birth certificate. If you choose Babatunde, then you will need to change the other documents or swear an affidavit to that effect.

If the police certificate you get shows a validity of 1 year then it's a fake! Police Character Certificate has a validity of 3 months. And make sure you go to Alagbon to get it done.

@LegitBachelor Good morning from this side of the world, please I think I missed out something here so yesterday I made payments for the visa fee at GTBank got back and tried to schedule an appointment which I was able to get a date in December , now my concern is I have a profile already on the site so all I did was just logged in back and start the application process now I notice that it didn't give the full option I would see if am filling a new application all it did was took me to a page to update my profile which I did by changing my passport number and the expiry date, then the visa type selection was immigrant visa which was were I saw the K1 visa, in all I think the process I filled up was totally different from DS-160 application now I have my appointment confirmation , I intend sending a mail to the embassy requesting for the instructions .

My questions: 1) will I b able to still use the GTBank ref number I got for the application when I receive the instructions from the embassy? 2) The appointment confirmation page I already got does it need to change too? 3) And if it does need to change will then proceed to pay another visa fee?

Please, guys & Ladies in the house i need clarification on this.

What you can do pending is to get your documents ready. I recommend you wait till you schedule an interview date before you get your police certificate and medical report.

If I understand your question I don't think it's an issue. The email you sent to the Embassy is just to confirm that they have your casefile.

My question though is this: Have you filled the DS160 form for the K1 Visa? If you did, does the confirmation number on the printout match the number on the appointment confirmation printout? Your response will determine my answer to your questions.
