Its the best decision I tell you!!! The reason for closing the border is for importers to use the seaport and prevent the government losing out on millions of dollars. That's the only reason, most of those bringing in goods from other countries know that our borders are porous and corruption is the order of the day with our officials there. Then there is the other rice which gets harder the longer you cook so needs extra cooking time to get it evenly cooked. Ghana does not have much local rice. What they have is foreign rice they rebag and give stupid names to pass it off as local.

You have not finished planting corn and groundnut for the much eaten Banku and groundnut soup and you are talking about locally grown rice which many in ghana cannot afford. Are you high?
