Yes you can wait. Your k1 visa interview date might not even be possible this year anyways.

However I advice you should be proactive with the us embassy guys concerning your casefile. Keep tracking it on the website I had provided earlier. Once it says your casefile is READY, you can do an email to the us embassy (LagosIV@state.gov) requesting your Packet. Once you get the go ahead from them (hopefully you'll get the go ahead before your casefile expiry date), you can then schedule the earliest available date which most probably will be around January or February.

Hi LegitBachelor, Update on my confirmation number issue , so I called them on Friday morning and explained the issues they rectified it and sent the right one which matches my appointment letter , but another issue arose I didn't get to print my ds-160 application form so she suggested I fill another and call back to rectify the ds-160 number so it matches with my appointment letter . So now both numbers tally. For anyone experiencing any issues its best, you call them because they respond fast and resolve it right there on the spot .. My date is in December so all I got to do now is prepare!!!!! Although I haven't received the email that contains the instructions, not worried about it as my fiancee called and requested for it they said we should keep checking our mails we will receive it, they didn't give a definite time frame.

I just got out of that scenario too, please if you really want a date in December which I think is gonna be tough right away go and pay the fee N98,050 at the bank and come back and fill the ds-160 form, in my own case I already had a profile I used for b1/b2 application i just went back to re-schedule an appointment on a K1-visa and i got a December date, Embassy told my finacee same thing for over 3 weeks now no mail but i have my case number and when i tracked it , i have READY which means i can go ahead ... Please go ahead and pay the fees and fill the DS-160 form and then check for dates .. ASAP .. Be careful when filling form as i noticed there were some minor updates to the form.. Pay close attention to everything and please tell nothing but the truth on the form ..

Seriously, i am surprised and confused at same time, my fiancée doesn’t make up the 125% in her current job.. she was suggesting her mom writes a letter of sponsorship and notarized it. I really don't know if a notarized letter can serve as evidence of financial support. But I know the form i134 (Affidavit of Support) is a document that confirms financial support. Her mum can fill the form i134 and give to her to submit. In addition to the filled form i134, she can also attach a cover letter explaining that her mum will be your cosponsor. That's my advice.

I doubt if @Brownesugar can get any December date as it is filled up. But yes, I think she should go ahead and schedule the earliest available interview date (which may be January or February).

I will also suggest for those who have their interview set for November or the coming weeks please due to this Health insurance stuff and the back and forth with it try and get a back up proof because, its uncertain when it's needed and this guy (CO) are looking for a ways to put people on *AP* Like what I and my fiancee intend doing is getting a letter from her Employer stating that once we get married I am automatically added to her Health insurance plan. Please have all documentation ready and HANDY don't give chances to anything at all and I mean anything... It getting messier by the day with this Trump public health stuff .

Lol @nohomo. It's i-134 and not i-864.

i-864 is filled in Family Based Immigration Petition (which yours is not) and also in Adjustment of Status Application. i-134 is filled in K1 Visa Application Process.

Those USCIS guys are not usually very helpful on the phone. Especially at this RFE stage of your application.

guys a random question, I applied for my birth certificate at NPC because I was born in 1994, but to my surprise they gave me an attestation, I tried arguing and explaining to them that I was supposed to get a birth certificate but they said the attestation was the right thing since I was already above 18 when I came to do it.guys hope this won't be a problem for visa process? or should I just go back to NPC?

You sure it's valid? He said he was born in 1994 so there's no excuse why NPC will not give him Birth Certificate instead of Attestation. Are you sure USCIS will accept NPC Attestation in lieu of NPC Birth Certificate for someone born after 1992?
